If I could give this a 0 star I would. Both Raymond Cao and Sue Zhang have violated our basic human rights and discriminated my Fiancé and I because of our race. We have email evidence (written in Chinese) that says because “we are a black family” that the review process needs to be more thorough/strict.Under the Human Rights Code, everyone has the right to equal treatment in housing without discrimination and harassment. As a landlord and realtor, it is their responsibility to make sure the housing they operate is free from this. People cannot be refused an apartment and treated unfairly because of their race, color or ethnic background. It is a principle of human rights that we should be judged on our individual attributes, skills, and capabilities, rather than on perpetuated stereotypes and assumptions based on our race.When She was confronted about the issue she denied it, despite having the screenshot evidence and followed it up by saying she has “African friends”. Because she and her associate got caught, she decided to play victim and say that we were too “picky” and didn’t want to work with us.If you are a person of color, especially a Black person, avoid at all costs.

Sue, Amy and the rest of the team at Smart Sold were all very efficient, professional and supportive. When we met with Sue and Amy they explained the selling process to us.
