Sad to see how the store has become. Better when it was ran by James Kathy and Barry.

They have good produce for good prices. Other grocery items are often cheaper than the larger local grocery store with a few exceptions. The staff are very friendly. Whenever possible I try do the majority of my shopping here over other grocery stores. If they had cheaper milk and some good bread, I might not have to go anywhere else.

Wonderful Fruit and Vegetables and a great price! There is everything you need without all the clutter of excessive choices. Needed black bean sauce and there it was on the shelf. Looked at the large stores and so much stuff" we walked out empty handed. This store knows what people need and streamlines the process with good prices

I haven't shopped on The Drive for quite some time and I'm kicking myself! I'm on Keto so ceasar salads are a staple in my diet. I was paying 3.97 at RCSS for a head of Romaine and almost fainted when I saw an even nicer, fresher romaine at Norman's for 99 cents!! There were MANY more deals too. I will never buy produce anywhere else again!

Community driven store that carries a lot of local staples at a good price. It is tailored for the neighbourhood where residents don't stock pile produce, so they have things like individual onions at a much lower price than the big box stores. The staff are very consistent and works really hard.

We use the great produce here all the time. James and his crew has a great selection and has beautifully renovated and upgraded the store and the produce and products are well curated. If anyone hasn't been back here for a while, it's worth popping in. Appreciate the large selection of local produce and worldly favourites. :)Small business owners: they can pick and deliver orders on occasion or do some ordering by phone or email as well. Just ask!

I have been shopping here for more than 25 years. They’ve got the cheapest produce in town. You need to really examine everything because some of the produce is a bit over ripe. The store sells milk, bread, eggs and cheese as well as a huge selection of pasta and frozen ravioli and tortellini. The aisles are narrow, so require careful manoeuvring of my mobility scooter, but it can be done. Norman still works occasionally and if you’re lucky you might get serenaded by the singing grocer!

I really like the business when it was ran by James and Kathy! They will truly be missed! We the new owners I feel very disappointed in the quality of the produce. I come by to shop every now and then, there were incidents where the shelves are a little moldy by the carrots and broccoli , very bruised or rotten apples and so many other issues with quality control. I can see the general man at the front always working to hard but don’t seem very supported. He been there with the last few owners and he always been so cheerful! I will be taking my business over to the triple A. I hope the new owners can manage to maintain quality control and try to support their staff. I hate to see such a old local grocery store to go out of business. To whoever the new owners are I hope you can learn from this review as I hope you can stay in business.

Good fresh produce. Friendly staff. The staff go out of their way to help.There is some thing I like to buy that sells out quickly , I used to take my chances that they might have that product. Often it was not delivered to them. To help me out they gave me a phone number and they were willing to hold some for me. Thanks for the staff and the management. Norman's is a long standing business catering to the community of east Van.
