I have taken my son to Dr Courtney to get his eyes checked out and when I went there they told me I need to patch his eye cause he had a lazy eye. I tried but it was like pulling teeth. He would not keep it on. His old lady receptionist told me that he is blind in his eye and she said she Hope's i am happy because he is blind because I never patched his eye. Well I saw a specialist in saskatoon to see about it and they told me his eye never developed properly because he has a severe developmental delay and everything develops slower. His eye never developed properly and that is why he cant see. She said I couldn't have done anything to change the outcome. I bawled because I have lived for 2 years thinking this is my fault because of her. Turns out it's not.

Dr Courtney is exceptional. He takes his time and explains everything thoroughly. My son was in the NICU when he was a baby and the hospital forgot to inform me any baby born early or in NICU needs to get their eyes checked at 6 months.I went when my son was 3 to an optometrist and he wasn’t running into anything. If I waited any longer he would be blind. If you have NICU baby get their eyes check. My sister is an Ophthalmologist in another province and recommended my son see a specialist.Dr Courtney is exceptional. You need to follow dr advice. My son had to be patched for over 5 yrs. it is not like pulling teeth as the above person states. You are the parent remember and if your child takes it off put it back on. I play games and followed Dr Courtney’s advice and my son’s eye doesn’t turn in. We need games that made him strength his eye.I’m telling your the honest truth. I’m learning I’m a different parent. You are not your child’s best friend until they are an adult and parents need to start being responsible.

He is a very good doctor

There is a old lady receptionist who works there and is truly a unprofessional. She needs some serious training on how not to make customer angry.
