Duovac Central Vacuums

Amazing customer service! Came with a hose problem, was expecting a long process with the warranty... In 10 minutes the problem was solved! Quebec should be proud to have such a good product and service!

Dear Sir/Madam,I have sent an email to your address listed on your website as well as contacted your call center number. No response. Music plays, i am told I am the first customer inline and have waited over an hour. Also I have chosen the call back option as well providing my contact# and no one has ever reached me.Are you a legit business? Are you open?Please find my issue that I have emailed you below:I have installed the DuoVac central vacuum at my home and the motor now will not start. I have checked the power connection and used the reset button multiple times and the motor will not start.There is a click sound every time the power switch is turned on/off.Can you please assist in addressing this issue.

We bought this product in 2011. Today the motor made a weird noise an after I noticed a strong burning smell. So I think that is the end. What should I do know? I must to say that I am very upset because is Christmas eve and sincerely I didn't expect to happen sudden like that. I paid to much for something that it isn't worthed.

I write this review after trying everything else possible to get my Duo Vac situation resolved. I purchased a new unit approximately 18 months ago and was told that the accessories were warrantied for 5 year's. My hose broke this July and of course the store we bought it from no longer carries Duo Vac products. They directed us to Head Office, we were told to bring our hose in to another retailer and they would cover the warranty. Lies, lies, lies, long story short, they made us pay for a new hose, told us head office was closed for two weeks and to leave our old hose with them. Chased them for a month for them to tell me yes its covered and you will get a call as soon as the credit goes through. Wait 3 weeks call back, oh no we aren't crediting you, it's your fault you broke it. Excuse me no I didn't, you told me I would get my money back. Longer story short..call head office then and speak with them. Call customer service, nope,nope and nope. Now listen I spent close to $1000 on a central vac from what is supposed to a local company, supposed to do the right thing and support our home grown companies, well sorry never again. I should have bought one at Costco and I would never have had a problem. I went one step further and wrote a 2 page letter to their head of Customer Service, nothing, not even a reply, three months later not a word. Disgusted I tell you, disgusted, the worst part of this is that we bought our home 13 years ago with a Duo Vac that had been here for at least 10 years already that meant the previous one lasted at least 22 years, this one who knows. Oh and they kept my old hose so I don't even have it as proof anymore. Not right, just not right people, stay away!

I bought a DuoVac in 2009 and I was told that it was life time warranty, the sales person repeated several time the life time warranty.The motor just went after just 6 years even do I use the vacuum once every two months.Upon going back to the company I was told that the warranty only applies if I bring the unit to the store and pay for regular maintenance once every 5 years.Not even once the sales person mention this, and you only will see this on the contract once you pay for it. .I find that this was miss leading, I previously had a Electrolux for 15 years and never has issue, I definitely would not recommend the DuoVac.
