I’ve attended Hodgins auctions both in person and on line. I have bought and sold art with them. I have to say the quality of art is very high, and the selection is incredible.There are always some interesting items available.I am impressed with the professionalism of the owners and the staff and their attention to detail I am also very pleased with their client service and the efficiency of buying and or selling with them. Pleasure dealing with them.Highly recommend attending one of their auctions to either buy or sell.

I was very pleased to utilize the services of Hodgins to sell one of my paintings. From the first point of contact to end I was provided with excellent and professional service. Kevin was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me navigate this process with ease. I was very pleased with the final sale amount I received - above what I expected. As a buyer I also love the variety and options Hodgins provides in terms of art selection. Because of their professionalism, knowledge and customer service Hodgins is my go to place for selling artwork (and buying too!).

Regarding selling fine art in Calgary, Hodgins Art Auctions is a very professional and astute organization. Kyra Lanis was extremely helpful in advising best timing for optimizing price potential and the company was able to store pieces safely and securely on site prior to auction. Of particular note was the May 2021 sale of a painting at over double the initial 2020 estimate which had been similarly verified by three different appraisers. Commissions are also very fair. This team really knows their industry and I definitely recommend their services.

I am very, very impressed with Hodgins Art Auctions. Kyra was professional, helpful and quick to respond to my email queries. She even has a good sense of humour. Hodgins is fortunate to have such an excellent employee! She was able to provide me with an estimate of what my painting was worth upon receiving a photo. I shipped my art from Ontario to Alberta, (at my expense) so it would be in their Sept. 2020 online auction. The artist came from Alberta, so I figured my chances of selling it there would be better. Yes, it sold online at a very decent price. Even with shipping at my cost, and their commission, I still came out ahead financially. I also noticed that in this particular Sept. 2020 auction, every lot number sold. Another amazing feature about Hodgins Auctions is that they are transparent, upfront and publish all prices realized in past auctions. So many auction houses make you have to register, or subscribe to see their secret" prices realized. Not Hodgins! This was super helpful for me in determining the what my painting was approximately worth ahead of time. I strongly recommend this auction house and I would definitely do business with them again. I was very pleased with the price that Hodgins was able to get for my Morrisseau painting. They were very professional in all aspects of the sale and quick with the payment afterwards. Would do business with them again.

We live in the US, in Chicago, and were referred to Hodgins Art Auctions when we began to downsize and wanted to sell some of our Inuit sculptures. We had a variety of pieces — large and small, some modestly priced and some more expensive — and we had gotten great pleasure from them. So we wanted a seller who would treat the pieces with the love and respect we had for them, who would find buyers who also would love them and would understand their worth. Hodgins filled the bill in every respect. Kyra was a joy to work with. She gave us great advice for packing and shipping the pieces, and all of that went flawlessly. We were very happy with the values Hodgins assigned to the pieces and With the results of the auctions. We received our payment in a very timely manner. All in all, working with Hodgins was a totally satisfying experience.

We came in last weekend for the art viewing. We had been looking on the computer but were very happy that we could come to see everything in person. It makes such a difference. The show rooms were very spacious and everything was hanging and easy to see. There were many nice things. A gentleman answered all our questions about the online bidding and was very patient. We did not win our Québec painting - it must have been popular! But we had fun and will try again next time. Maybe we will be less shy to bid.

I want to thank the folks at Hodgins for the sale of some paintings and the subsequent payment and follow up. Unfortunately Canada Post lost my cheque but Hodgins promptly assisted me with a replacement. Can't thank you guys enough!If anyone requires professional services to sell or buy paintings I can wholeheartedly recommend the services of this company. They will look after you.

Hodgins Art Auctions is incredible. I inquired about consigning a painting one morning, it was picked up in the afternoon and sold at auction 3 weeks later for a price I was real happy with; and I was paid 10 days later. They are responsive, patient and a pleasure to deal with. Wouldn’t hesitate to refer them.
