Kayla from Sugar & Salt has made several custom cakes for my niece & nephew and always knocks it out of the park! So it was a no brainer to hire her to provide a dessert table for our wedding. The table was beautiful and desserts were delicious, people were raving about the desserts weeks after the wedding! It was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding! Kayla was also great to work with throughout the process :)

Lovely bake shop with a fresh selection every time I come in. I've really enjoyed the cupcakes! Owners are very personable and the location is very well decorated.

Walked into the bakery, which is close. I loved the decor and layout inside. The display was lovely. The deserts are all cute. Bought two simpler cupcakes since my kids aren’t adventurous. The red velvet had great frosting but lacked the punch I need. The chocolate and hazelnut cupcake was more rich (coffee flavor). Will definitely try more as selection expands.

Kayla has been making cakes for our celebrations for the past five years, and they are all showstoppers! People gasp at how beautiful the cakes are, and then the flavour and bake impresses again. Her icing is not too sweet, cakes are moist, and a slice is the perfect ending to a party.

If you are looking for the most beautiful wedding or birthday cake or even some sweet treats, Kayla will create you something that is not only tasty but is undoubtedly an absolute stunning work of art. The images below are just one example from a recent styled wedding shoot we collaborated on together. We love her work so much we hired her to create the sweetest & most beautiful little cake and treats for our daughters first Lola Dutch themed birthday party, she pulled everything together so perfectly. Would highly recommend Sugar + Salt!

I have been going to this Bakeshoppe since they made our wedding cake and it’s fabulous. My go to is the red velvet cupcake, cookie sandwiches and my most favourite is the salty pretzel sticks that’s covered in chocolate and toffee bits. Highly recommend. And the owner is absolutely so artistic making custom cakes.

Kayla's 'sweet' shoppe is a favourite of ours here at Alli Mae Events. Kayla is incredibly talented and bakes delicious treats, offering a wide selection for our clients' sweet tables at their weddings in a range of price points and customizations. We've also been known to pop in for a visit and pick up our own treats to enjoy at home! Kayla is also a lovely person and has worked so hard to build her bakery. We will always recommend her to our clients, family and friends. Proud of you!

Excellent bakery with lots of great baked treats. We’ve tried their cupcakes, cookies, brownies, blondies, and cookie sandwiches. Everything we’ve tried has been very good! We like that their treats aren’t overly sweet.
