Irise's House

What a fantastic place to stay. Very homely and welcoming. The host is absolutely fantastic and goes over and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. 10/10 and I will definitely be staying here again if I am in the area. Thank you guys for making my stay so lovely.

It is a perfect place for short term stay or a longer term vacation home. House is very clean. Fresh Cob's bread served every morning as the host is working there. It is 10 mins driving to ferry and 10 mins walking to ocean. Would recommend to anyone!

Irise has a lovely house and always takes their recycling in after it's been picked up instead of leaving it out like Gary does. For weeks. I swear, Gary leaves those bins out 24/7 like he wants them to get stolen. It's absurd. Side note, if anyone is looking for lightly used recycling bins, let me know. Very comfy sheets.

I needed a break from everyday life, and I am sure glad I found Irise’s House". This is one place that I would definitely recommend. This house is in a very quiet neighbourhood where all you can hear are the birds singing and the breeze rustling through the leaves of the trees and shrubbery of this property.BEDROOMS: The bedrooms have ceiling fans and are nicely set up with lovely bedding and decor. Am very grateful for the above and beyond service that I received from this hostess. I was booked to spend a night this past Thanksgiving weekend with my grandkids and unfortunately we got delayed on a VIA rail train arriving in Vancouver 12 hours later than expected. Instead of picking us up at 6 pm Sat as scheduled Iris very kindly agreed to pick us up at the Vancouver Via rail station at 7 am the next morning and take us to the ferry terminal at Tsawwassen for our 9 am morning ferry to Victoria. She than proceeded to give me a very fair refund on my accommodation that I had not been able to use. She went above and beyond my expectations and her kindness to help me out as I was travelling with 5 and 7 year old grandchildren will certainly always be remembered and appreciated. Definitely a hostess with a grand desire to be of service whom I look forward to seeing again and definitely will plan on staying with the next time I'm in that area.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a nice summer escape. I’m so glad that I found this place. Definitely a gem in the neighbourhood.The place is easy to find and near commercial area. But what’s more convenient is that they offer an amazing breakfast coming on this cute little blue tray! I couldn’t say enough thanks about that. Totally sweet and warm.The backyard is so relaxing. And if you’re a smoker like my boyfriend, you don’t need to go out and find the spot. They kindly allow smoking in the lovely yard. That is such a bonus.I would definitely come again and recommend this place to friends.

We were stranded at the ferry and were able to book a last minute room. The host was very accommodating. Bed was very comfortable. They also offer a ride to the ferry for a good price.
