Hair by Steven

Lots of people don't bother writing reviews if the experience is good, we should keep that in mind when judging a place. Steven gave me a great color and a haircut exact as in one of my older pictures - in a short amount of time. Dentists, auto mechanics, hairdressers may sometimes not have great people pleasing skills (Steven had that too with me) but they do their job well.

This place is great, Steven is very nice and professional and cares a lot about customer satisfaction. It is reasonably priced and you get really good results. I’ve gotten highlights there twice now and they really know how to treat blonde hair.

My experience today was absolutely fabulous and Steven surpassed my expectations! It was my first time at this salon and I love both my new hair colour and cut. You can really see the 20+ years of experience Steven has for his craft in his works of hair art. I also enjoyed talking with I believe her name was Nicole. They made a good team. :)

Horrible experience . I can't leave 2 comments from the same email . So I'm using my other email. Updating the situation. Steven had contacted me via email I explained why I left the review. I asked for a we found and he denied it. I spent $300 to look like this. Steven then said that he can offer me a hair treatment that I can take home with me , and asked me to remove the previous review. I explained that I will remove the review once I pick up the product. I understand there's no going back after this , this cannot be fixed , but I do expect some kind of compensation . I came to the salon as we agreed , to pick up the hair treatment . I will talk to so poorly , I just wanted to come pick up the item delete the review and leave. He didn't let me take the product , I don't understand why , he started yelling at me to leave his salon , but he's not going to give me the product anymore and if I don't leave he will call the police. I don't understand this man whatsoever . He doesn't want to take the responsibility for what happened didn't apologize sincerely even once . He was very nice to me when I was getting my hair done , but once I came home and realized what I look like , I couldn't hold my tears . I lose faith in humanity day by day because of people like like him . It is okay my hair will grow back but his personality stays with him . This is the end results guys . You do your thinking before going there . I have our email conversation where he said that he can give me the product , I showed up and all I got is yelling . I've never felt so disrespected by a business owner that claims to be professional. He is very unprofessional , doesn't have people skills . All I wanted is just a refund and call it the day . You messed up take responsibility for your professional work . My skul is burnt and still in pain . By the way I am missing a lot of hair from underneath too , , and all over my head it just doesn't show good enough in the pictures .I really want to sue this place if anyone knows where I can go please tell me .

I recently visited Hair by Steven for a color treatment & I have to say from start to finish my experience was wonderful and I walked out with exactly what I wanted. Steven is super friendly, attentive and will give you his honest professional opinion. Highly recommend!

I got a hair cut specifically layers and curtain bangs done by Steven. I think the cut came out great and I like the new look especially as I had cut off a lot of length. My issue, and this is partly my fault as I didn't confirm before starting the haircut, is I was very surprised by the price. His website quotes $45-65 for a women's hair cut, but the total came out to $78.60 with tax. If we had discussed the price beforehand, I would have probably looked elsewhere as that's a bit out of my budget. I still tipped of course as I was satisfied with the hair cut, but I don't think it was worth the price I paid. It was a super simple cut. Just as a change in business practice for next time, I would recommend telling the customer right at the beginning what the price is going to be especially when there is no set price on the website and it's listed as a range. As the service had already been completed I felt pressured to pay.
