The Ovens Park
The property itself is amazing with the hiking trails and views. It is well maintained. The bathrooms were easily accessed from our site and had good lighting and low bugs. Thankfully there was a restaurant on site as we were there during a fire ban and were unable to do our usually open fire cooking. Despite this, there were others having fires and it was not reinforced by the staff for them to put them out. The site was a good size and we had water and electricity available. The kids had a blast playing in the shale by the water. Though we were not planning on using the restaurant, we did find that it was well priced with good options and the entertainment was great.

It is about one and quarter hour drive from the Halifax, there are several caves in this trail to see and the trail is almost two kilometres long round. It is privately owned and the entry fee was $12 for adults. Washrooms available near the entrance.Rusty stone beaches and camp fire spots are there..

A good place for a day visit or stay in RVs for the night. The sea caves and trail was good.

LOVED my trip to the ovens. I’m shocked it did not come up on my search of what to see when visiting Nova Scotia. I had a neighbour recommend heading here and we loved every minute. It was $12 per person. Based on the sites we were able to see I have no issue paying that price. The staff was informative and gave us all the info we needed for a self guided tour. The trail was so clean. It honestly is so beautiful. When I have the opportunity to in the future I would love to camp here.

Trail is superb with ocean view and natural sea caves , you will be able to experience the thunder of sea cave in the trail section , over all a good private property to have a family one day trip , better to have food backup , a small cafeteria and grocery outlet is avbl in the property.

My family and I have camped here a few times. the views are wonderful, it tends to be a more quiet and friendly campground, and the trail leading around the caves is always a highlight. my children rated as one of their favorite campgrounds.

The beautiful sea cliff trail that leads to the famous Ovens Sea caves for which the park was named Ovens Natural Park" alongside the North Atlantic Ocean

They do not accept “Indian Status Card” for entry due to being a private park. Sadly, they display stolen Mi’Kmaq artifacts.Entry without charge to Nova Scotia's national historic sites and national parks has been implemented and is a small step toward reconciliation. The Ovens chose not to participate.
