Medicentres Family Care Clinics

Hugely disappointed. Came in Thursday and been told to make an appointment because they don't accept walk-ins and was 35 patients behind. So I do, and make an appointment in the morning. When I come in for my appointment, they let in all the walk-ins that day see the doctor before I, who been told there's no walk-ins and to make an appointment, right in front of me. This happened several times now. These receptionist are the cause of these problems. Do not come if possible.

I love Dr. Wingnean, he’s an amazing doctor. The issue I have is what is the point of an appointment if we are made to wait like a walk in. Had an appointment at 5:00pm and it’s now 5:40 and still haven’t seen the doctor. This is unacceptable. Should have more staff to accommodate the amount of people that frequent this medicenter most days.

I love this Medi centre, Dr Wingnean is an amazing dr. But they never answer the phone. I was called by one of their receptionists two weeks ago to confirm some information and they left a message asking for me to call them back. I’ve been trying to get in touch with the clinic by phone for two whole weeks now. I’ve spent hours on hold only to be hung up on after a few minutes and having to call back over and over. I feel like I’m going to go crazy listening to their hold music. All because THEY asked ME to call them.

I had an eye infection and came in around 12:30 as a walk-in. I was told that there was one patient ahead of me and that it would be no more than 30 mins to 1 hour and that I had to leave and could not wait. I left and came back after an hour to where I saw patients were seated and was told to have a seat. I waited another hour then was moved into a room waited 30 mins and then moved to another room. I know their are patients that have appointments that are to be prioritized but I think staff should have been honest so that I could have went elsewhere. So unprofessional.I waited a total of 3 hours and 15minutes to which point I just left. Absolutely ridiculous.Im pretty sure they let other people ahead of me that were also walk in because waiting room changed several times as I left to check.

Very bad experience with the person in the reception receptionist ". While on call with me explaining my problem that we are immigrants and my wife couldnt speak English.. she started laughing at me with someone else near her.. that was so frustrating and humilating to recieve such as behavior.. if you are recording the call just go back to the history of June 2nd 2023 at 3h25 pm..People might visit you with some healthy physical issues and leave with high blood pressure at the reception."

The receptionist here have such a bad attitude and are completely careless and disregard for patients. They have made me go and come back several times within a day even if I made the appointments. I was told I had to wait 1 hour and a half to get a copy of my medical records and to take it up with the doctor or leave. They are so disrespectful. The doctor is actually decent and the compete opposite. But I don’t think people should have the patience to deal with the disrespectful staff at the front desk

Doctor had a ”this is just another patient” attitude. I didn't feel like I was being truly listened too. They used medical words and phrases to me as if I was a doctor and knew what they meant. He (don’t remember the doctors name) handed me the paper and then just left. Didn’t say I was good to go or goodbye. Terrible experience. 2 stars is pushing it.

I have been going to this clinic since it has opened and I have had Dr Campbell as my family physician since he became a doctor. I have always been treated with respect during phone calls and visits. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for a family doctor. With family care clinics you have to show patience and respect for staff and fellow patients. This way your visit will be more relaxing and less stressful.

The clinic has always been very attentive to my needs. I have several comorbid conditions and Dr. Wingnean has helped me with each. I usually do Saturday mornings when they just are about to open and he says good morning with my name each time. He always asks how I am doing with my mental health conditions even if I am there for something totally separate. I have been going to this clinic for about 20 years now. Thank-you downtown Medicentre!

My appointments with Dr Campbell are good. He listens and helps. Front desk is also good especially in-person problem is getting them on phone. Last time I tried to book an appointment I got transferred to hold in a split second no real consent and I was on hold for quite a while, decided to cut the call and check somewhere else. Looking forward to my next appointment
