Riverside Travel Medicine Clinic

Received my rapid test results by email within three hours. Friendly service at the reception and from nurse taking the test. Easy to get to location at the Riverside. Very efficient despite what seemed like a very busy location.

Went for a consultation for a trip in February. The staff were all so friendly and it was a very welcoming environment. Though I didn’t need any vaccinations, the nurse took time to explain all the precautions and preventative measures I should take before and during my trip. Also a bonus: as a student without a car, it was super easy to get to as Riverside is right along the Transit Way. Overall had a great experience! I would definitely return before any future travels!

Be forewarned......All clinics are not created equal. I’m heading to Africa for six weeks and needed a consult and a few shots including an updated tetanus and Hep A. After doing some research I found Riverside to be the best option. They have a reasonable consult fee and I had almost a one hour session with the health professional. She was very thorough and gave sound advice which included not over inoculating which is exactly what I wanted to hear. I left today with my two shots (covered by OHIP but one clinic was going to charge me for them) and a prescription for an antibiotic in the event I get an infection while on my travels. I have an appointment Oct. 1st...closer to my trip at which time I may get a Yellow Fever shot and a prescription for Malaria.Be sure and ask for all costs involved when calling around. One clinic charged $15 for each shot they give and the Yellow Fever injection was substantially more than the price quoted at Riverside. The staff was also very pleasant....appointment prompt and the needles didn’t hurt to boot!!!!Happy travels and good health everyone.

Super happy with my experience at Riverside Travel Medicine Clinic.I emailed the clinic and had a response within 30minutes.My wife & I opted for the expedited pcr-test and the process was super smooth.The reception staff was friendly and accommodation, and the doctor was very gentle and didn't jab our brains 10/10.We were in and out in under 5 minutes.We received our results the same evening.Very pleased with the service, communication and test.

I had a rapid antigen test for travel here. They are friendly and efficient. But they should be ashamed for taking my money for the test and never sending results. I missed my flights because of them. Still haven't gotten results. Don't go here. You can find better.

Dr. Birnbaum and his team are great. He really took the time to discuss the risks and precautions for my destinations and emailed me all the information after. I felt very prepared and informed after my visit to the clinic. Very friendly, kind and honest, recommending that I wait to get my rabies shots in Asia since it is much cheaper. Highly recommend.

Worst experience. Booked appointment to get travel test 24 hours before our departure. Clinic called and said to guarantee timely results tests have to be done 48 hours before. We told them the airlines only accept 24 hrs before and were told no its 72 hours. Arrived at airport to find out the test results aren't valid as they were done more than 24 hours ago. Had to rush to local shoppers drug mart to get a new test where we paid less than half of what we paid this clinic. Save time, money and surprises, select right clinic.

the nicest people ever! everyone i spoke to was so lovely, got my results in just in time before my trip, and it only cost me $90! so much better compared to lifelab’s $224 travel test, that i never even got a booked appointment for. these people are GREAT highly recommend

This travel clinic is amazing! I had done a fair amount of research beforehand but still learned quite a bit during my consultation. I met with Elizabeth and she was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. She was quite honest with the vaccines that I did and did not need, and only ended up recommending one (which surprised me because I only wanted the one but I was still expecting that they would attempt to up-sell extra vaccines that weren't necessarily needed - NOT the case at all). Overall I was very happy with my visit and will definitely be booking future travel vaccination appointments with them!

Their website says you usually get your covid-19 test results 36 hours after testing but I was surprised to see mine come in ~24 hours after my test. The process was pain-free and super simple, and the staff were very nice and professional. If I ever need to travel anywhere that requires the test I am definitely headed back to here!
