Pretty awesome doggie store, my boy Arlo, from the first day that we took him toDoghouse he was so taken by the store and owners that every time that we go to downtown St John's, we're literally dragged to it!Great products, quality and an awesome friendly service, that included treats, hugs and kisses for my boy which he greatly appreciates and cherishes... Every time he visits.It's a lovely little piece of pet paradise where you'll be able to find awesome Canadian and Newfoundland products that sustain our local and national economies that truly need it, forget about Amazon and Walmart, let's throw our hard earned behind our small local businesses, that's not only the right thing to do but the only way to push out of the economic hardship that the pandemic has generated.Thanks for the awesome experience!

Staff and owner are great; special order items when needed and are just super friendly. Products are expensive but high quality and healthy. The price is normal for what I've seen for the same products in other parts of the country. Of course weather and ferries mean sometimes shipments can be delayed, so sometimes i order early or stock up. Love that this place exists. So happy to be able to feed my guy high-quality food and to support a local business!

We had a Lovely visit today and I will have to get pictures next time. The staff are always helpful and friendly I have found. It is a great place for ... dogs ... and has many things for my cat too

As we sauntered along historic Duckworth Street with Simon’s leash slightly sagged as if it was a bridge of our friendship, we took in the cool, crisp, wintry day. We peer out through the statues of the War Memorial to see the blue bird sky hover over the narrows. The freshly fallen snow rested peacefully on the branches and the soldiers as it once did in the frozen fields of France. We paused for a moment for reflection and continued on our way. We were stopped not long after to the welcoming ’Open’ sign fixed to the doorway of The Doghouse, the perfect respite from the cold. As we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles that warmed our hearts, from the ladies behind the register. They asked Simon if he’d like a treat and after a few quick whips of his tail he wandered over to the happy women and sat while he awaited his treat. With his belly full, the next adventure was about to come as he began to roam the store. His eyes excitedly danced from side to side with each new sight and smell. The wonderful selection of treats and toys lined the walls and shelves for little puppies and kittens to feast on. There were coats and collars, harnesses and kennels, anything one might think of. As he finished scouring the store, he went and picked out his own tasty delight out of the nearby bin and walked over and handed it to the ladies to ring in. As the ladies rang it in, Simon looked up at me with a smile as if to say “Thanks for the treat dad! Next ones on me!”. After his tasty treat was bought and paid for and few friendly pats from employees and patrons, we were off on our next adventure.

Amazing, was there 2 weeks ago with my Labrador Retriever Shadow, water outside, water inside, very pet friendly with great people. So many stuff to chose, since we were tourist we end up buying local stuff, desydrated moose and some sort of fish. 2 or 3 minutes away from the famous newfoundland and labrador dog statues. Really worth to visit! Thanks you for the warm welcome!

So grateful for the cat expertise today. Great options to help our cat's skin, samples to try, and lots of time spent answering my questions. This is why you shop local, to have conversations and help from people who care and who know their business. Will return!
