Gina's College Of Advanced Aesthetics

I have been a semi regular client at the student clinics for hair styling and also for aesthetic treatments. Most times I would bring one of my daughters with me for a girl's day out. Every time it has been a fun and relaxing experience and I have been quite pleasantly impressed by the skill level of the students. It also gives me a good feeling that I am giving a student a chance to practice and build their confidence and expertise.

I loved my course and the teachers were knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to help me understand and feel comfortable in what we were learning

School was very unsanitary with many things. There was mucus on the bathroom walls and it was never cleaned. All products used were expired and caused allergic reactions and breakouts to myself and many other people. Students were constantly being put down for using products on the grounds of the product being expensive". Several instances of students crying and in pain during treatments and the person performing was told they would get a lower mark/no mark if they did not continue performing the treatment. Products used during treatments were physically cut open and put back in the cabinet left to oxidize and exposed to dust and other bacteria. Sheets and towels used for client days always had some type of discolouration and stains. Inventory of products was not done properly and students were accused and treated as if they were stealing. Guidance councillors were mislead and told a starting wage for an aesthetician is $30 straight out of school when several employers (including Gina's Spa) only pay minimum wage. The whole program was misleading and machines were old and broken. I would never recommend this school to anybody and anytime someone asks where they should go I point them straight to International Beauty Institute or Conestoga College."

I came in a few times for services for the last few months. I got a variety of treatments done like manicures, pedicures, and facials with different kinds of machines and the student did a great job. A lot of the students worked hard from what I noticed. Unfortunately I did find that it took a little long to get the teacher’s attention to overlook the students work or sign off on client forms to continue the service, often had to wait for machines to use on their clients and it seemed a little unorganized.

I have been going weekly for a wash heavenly head massage and blow dry! My treat to myself!Miss Paula is an amazing instructor and students love her!

I recently took the microblading course here and from registering and even until now I’ve had as much support/help as needed. Bri was very helpful with answering all questions before I committed to attending and sending all types of information to me. My class was very small which was perfect, we got a lot of one on one with our teacher (Adriana). Adriana was very straight forward with everything (i.e if you’re using too much product she will tell you and explain that, that will cost you a lot of money in your career and no one wants that) and very helpful. Even after finishing the course I’ve had plenty of support when asking for help.I’m looking forward to taking the Lip blush course in the future.

After paying $11,000+ in tuition for 8 months of school, students are not permitted to park on school grounds, they are required to park at the large parking lot at the end of the street (minimum 5 min walk) in every type of weather including blizzards and thunderstorms yet were marked upon arrival for hair and makeup. There were many instances of students crying and in pain during treatments being burned, skin torn, and reactions and yet the person performing was told they would get a lower mark/no mark if they did not continue performing the treatment. One thing that still to this day makes me angry is that after spending all of this money we received kits that were supposed to have everything we need for our course but 2 weeks in my whole class was out of the essentials such as gauze and told we have to replace it all out of pocket for the remainder of the course (pretty much the whole thing). In addition to this, the machines were completely out of date and broken. I purchased the EXACT same quintet machine they raved about the whole time right after graduating thinking I could replace parts at Intercosmetics as they have that machine. I soon found out that the machine is so out of date it is near impossible to get replacement parts except possibly direct order from the company. I am now selling the machine as it is a waste of space. I have worked with at least 3 people who have graduated in the last 2 years and we all agree on these concerns. I would never recommend this school to anybody and anytime someone asks where they should go I point them straight to International Beauty Institute or Conestoga College and warn them of the waste of money Gina's is. This company intimidates, cons, and just bullies people out of leaving reviews and telling people the truth. Don't be fooled!

I came here with pretty rough hair. I had pink in it and spotty patches bc im a broke university student and attempted to take the blonde into my own hands. I came here to get the pink out and get to a super light blonde, I will say I was very scared and worried going into it BUT im so happy I did. It turned out absolutely amazing and im so happy with the result! They did an amazing job for only $200 instead of normally a $600 job. Safe to say I will be going here for all my hair needs

I attended Gina's College for aesthetics. Not only were the staff knowledgeable, friendly and respectful, but the ambience was perfect.Staff and students alike were happy and passionate about the industry. We were able to practice our skills on the public, giving us an advantage going into the fork force. Myself and many classmates had careers before graduating!I would highly recommend attending here if you are wanting to go into the aesthetics field, maybe even if you just want to treat yourself to a spa day and provide a future aesthetician some practice ;)

I recently graduated from Gina’s Medical Aesthetics program! It was an amazing experience! The class sizes are small allowing you to get to know the staff and your teachers. I would like to give a special thank you to Bree in admissions. Bree was always super helpful, friendly, kind, caring, and funny.
