I received harsh treatment from the officers in charge.What was the fault?I haven't bought my flight ticket back to my home country so they argue I was trying to stay in Canada for work, the problem was officer barely allowed me to speak, so when he finally did I told him that was no problem at all and that I could buy it right there in the phone app. Finally when they saw I was telling the true (because they also saw my american VISA) allowed me to enter Canada, this made my crossing experience a little bit bitter.Conseils:** If you are crossing the USA - Canada border I recommend carry your documents in order and be honest with officers, after all it is its job to keep borders safe.** If you are an officer please don't be so harsh, some of us just want to travel with tourist purpose.

The officers are really polite. The wait time is really long but that's kind of expected.

Today my family and I went back to immigration office to make the corrections in our docs issued couple of days ago. The officers not just answered the phone but explained in details how to get to it. On top of it officer Aramburo made everything possible to correct the mistakes and issue new docs for all of us. I would like to thank officer Aramburo on behalf of my family from the bottom of my heart for his time, patience, generosity and kind professional human attitude to our case.

Returning back to Canada even after a very short trip through this border crossing made me remember how lucky we are to be Canadians! CBSA Officers were polite, kind and compassionate. Thank you for having our backs and for looking out for us. Thank you, thank you and thank you!!!!!!!!!!

4/12/23 took 37 minutes. New lines opened for the other lane and we couldn't get over so new lines helped everyone behind us. Entrance into Canada was efficient Rainbow bridge. Peace bridge into US was excessive. We had a pregnant woman in our car and with no washroom facilities it was a miserable experience.

3 days ago at 8 am I went with my wife to do flagpoling to extend our visas (student visa for my wife and work visa for me). Before arriving, we researched on the official website of IRCC to check if it was possible to do this procedure in this place or not. Once we arrived back on the Canadian side, the office was completely empty, we were the only ones in it. We told the immigration officer what we wanted to do, and he told us that this procedure is not done at the border. We replied that we have friends who have done it, and that on the official IRCC website it indicates that it can be done (we showed it to the officer, but he did not show any interest in checking it). The official's response was to shrug his shoulders. I find it unbelievable that in a supposedly rich country these things happen. I have been living here for almost 2 years as a temporary resident, paying a lot of taxes, and I still don't even have access to public health care in Canada. And when I want to do a procedure (like flagpoling), I can't do it either... Sincerely, we are regretting having moved to this country.

I had an extremely distressing experience at the Peace Bridge border crossing while interacting with a CBSA agent. This incident has left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the professionalism and treatment exhibited by the CBSA staff. It is evident that sensitivity training is necessary, as the agent's tone throughout the interaction was disrespectful and dismissive, despite my attempts to explain my situation.As a Citizen and a veteran of the CAF for over 13 years, I was made to feel unwelcome and treated as a second-rate citizen. The most disheartening part was that my two-year-old daughter witnessed the entire ordeal. It was a truly dreadful experience, and it saddens me to think that this is how our own citizens are sometimes treated.While I hope and don't believe that this incident was racially motivated, it is clear that the agent displayed a lack of good character and abused their power. Such behavior should never be tolerated, and steps must be taken to address it.I sincerely hope that nobody else has to endure a similar experience. It is crucial for the CBSA to take these concerns seriously and prioritize sensitivity training and fostering a culture of respect and equality. Our citizens, especially those who have served their country, deserve to be treated with dignity and appreciation.By sharing my experience, I hope to raise awareness and encourage positive change within the CBSA. It is my fervent wish that incidents like mine become a thing of the past, and that every citizen, regardless of their background or service, is treated fairly and respectfully by the agency tasked with protecting our borders.
