Giving 4 stars, because it was my second restaurant for my short stay in Toronto. I loved the food of the first one and I was expecting more than that at Sapore... like it at all!!!

Attentive polite and informative service. Portions could contain just a little more substance and less garnish. A breaded calamari was decent (just not enough). The grilled Calamari was too hard. Scallops and jumbo shrimp were not bad. Rice was a little too oily for my preference. Apparently the gnocchi was good.

What a great place. From when Manuel helped us plan our family function to Angie who made sure everyone was looked after this is definitely a place I would recommend. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend Sapore for intimate and large group gatherings.

When you’re so hungry you forget to take a photo of the mains: braised steak, corn-fed pork from Northern Spain, and panko-crusted Arctic char. This place packs a punch of quality and taste.

As usual the food is exceptional. We were a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meals. One negative was food took awhile to be served. Also costly but so worth jt.

Great food, kind server. You'd be missing out if you're in the neighborhood & didn't at least try it. I shared in some arugula salad & a taste of honey drizzled bruschetta with fresh mozzarella for starters & halibut main and tasted the carrot cake cheese cake. It was all so delicious! I want to come back. Unfortunately, I live across the country, so will have to savour the thought & hope there's another chance to go back somehow.

Their food was pretty good. However I can never support a business which runs this way. This restaurant engages in a predatory hidden fees business model where you get charged $6 for water in glass (where the waiter fills up your cup with water, I've never been to any restaurant where water in a glass costs money). There's also a mandatory 20% tip, and they changed their regular menu for a Valentine's Day menu where everything is expensive. If I had known just 1 of these three things, I would never come here again but this restaurant has all three! Instead of charging a 20% mandatory tip from customers the owner should pay his/her staff a better wage. This place would make Nestle proud by charging $6 for water. I can go to the nearest Cineplex or a fast food place and get free water from their soda machine. We didn't even know water costs money or else wouldn't have drank any. I ended up not ordering anything for myself due to them removing their normal menu for the Valentine's Day menu. It cost $67 with taxes and their mandatory tip included to feed a single person (even with me not ordering anything for myself). Angry at myself for giving money to this place.

The food was delicious and fresh. The portions of the food are huge. The wait staff was very friendly and did a great job. My sister booked this place for my nieces communion.
