We were introduced to ZenTree Construction in 2018 when Chris came to our house to gives us a quote for a kitchen/foyer remodel. He was one of many that provided us with a quote, but we selected ZenTree Construction to do our renovation due to the open and honest conversation about what we wanted, the price, the timeline, and the quality of the work we expected. After the exceptional job of making our dream kitchen come true, we have hired ZenTree many more times over the last 4 years. We did not waste our time seeking out anymore quotes from other companies because ZenTree had already proven to us what we wanted and expected. Besides our kitchen/foyer, they have remodeled 2 bathrooms, wainscoting in our living room & dining room, and recently took on a huge project of fully gutting and redoing our full basement. Our basement is now more energy efficient, to code, a 3-piece bathroom installed, functional, and beautiful. We have officially run out of rooms for ZenTree to remodel in our home. They are a hard-working team, with great attention to detail, expert craftmanship, reliable, maintain a clean workspace, and hire expert subcontractors. ZenTree provided detailed estimates, work plans, arranged for all permits, and backed it up with detailed invoices. When “surprises” popped up in our basement ZenTree kept us fully informed and provided options to complete the project. Overall, we have never worked with a construction team that had more heart, integrity, and attention to quality work.

We had a gas fireplace installed. Zen tree did a great job of installing the fireproof panel above the fireplace and refinishing the wall so that it was ready for repainting. We were very happy with the price and the promptness of having the work completed.

ZenTree Construction completed our major kitchen and minor bathroom renovation to our complete satisfaction on schedule. Chris provided a detailed breakdown of work, costs and schedule in proposal for a ‘no-surprise’ renovation over two months. Options in trim, lighting, flooring and tiling were proposed and friendly, informal conversations during the renovation answered our questions as the work progressed. Plumbing and electrical sub-contractor work was closely scheduled and monitored to avoid any delays. Chris and Jake performed their renovation work professionally with continual attention to detail and quality, minimal disruption in our home, always clean work site at end of day after their regular 8 hour work days. We had our kids bathroom completely renovated, the main level painted & fixed up and fireplace updated and are very pleased with the result.Chris was friendly, on time and always provided us with updates. Embarking on a full kitchen renovation for newbies can be very daunting. However, ZenTree Construction made it a very enjoyable experience (despite not having a kitchen for 5 weeks). Chris gave us detailed plans, with timelines and cost prior to beginning our project. He set up all subcontractors who were all excellent. He was calm, very patient and answered all of our questions(I had a lot!) along the way. He was very accommodating and helpful when unsure of subtle additions or changes we were contemplating. Jake, who was part of Chris's team was also very meticulous and took pride in his work. They were very pleasant to have in our home and left everything clean and tidy at the end of each work day. Chris and Jake took 90 sq feet of non-functional, crumbling bathroom space and transformed it into two beautiful bathrooms - a 3 piece ensuite and a 3 piece main floor bathroom. This involved tasks such as wall building, tiling, installation, painting and coordinating with electrical and plumbing contractors. Chris provided a detailed work plan and budget well ahead of time and he and Jake both answered all questions patiently and fully. Their work and their care for the rest of our living spaces was exemplary. We are new to home renovations so also hired Sonia of Mood Room Designs to guide us. The combination of a patient and knowledgeable designer and an exemplary construction team resulted in functional and beautiful new spaces we will enjoy for years to come.

ZenTree did a complete renovation of our kitchen, Chris managed the process with the sub contractors as well. He put together the full plan with associated budget. The work and schedule were completed as planned - very impressed with the work and as others noted he kept the work environment clean and safe. The budget came in as planned and we were extremely happy with the outcome. Since then Chris has done a couple of other smaller jobs of which were completed in the same manner - you appreciate when you find a dedicated, quality, and trustworthy contractor. ZenTree did out kitchen renovation recently and I couldn’t be happier. The plan for the renovation was written very clearly and made understanding the daily process and costs comprehensible. All the work was done according to schedule and with no delays. Chris was very nice, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He took all of my concerns and ideas into consideration and made them happen in the best way possible. Chris and his team were punctual and always left the workplace clean and tidy, to the point that I didn’t even have to vacuum after coming home from work! I highly recommend ZenTree!
