My partner and I have been going to him for our sharpening needs for about 3 years now, and recommend his services to anyone who needs knives, scissors and all manner of other blades sharpened. Scott is professional and personable. My grooming and hair dressing shears are expensive, so I don’t trust just anyone to sharpen them. Not only is Scott trustworthy with my shears, I feel confident referring him to all of my colleagues, as his skills are definitely worth the call out. So much so, my salon has prebooked him every 6-8 weeks for the next year to help keep us all sharp! Thank you for your exceptional customer service, Scott. You are truly an asset to my team.

My experience with Scott was fantastic! I had initially booked a knife sharpening appointment on behalf of my parents. As the day got closer I realized that I also had knives I wanted sharpened. What was supposed to be only a handful of knives turned out to be closer to 20 items along with my rusty decades old lawnmower! When I informed Scott of the new total he was very kind and said he would assess when on site and let me know if he would have time for all the items.Scott was punctual, very courteous to my parents and was even able to sharpen ALL items which saved me from booking a separate appointment! My parents were impressed with his speed and professionalism and I was so happy that I decided to go with him instead of another company. Scott at Sharpen Up offered me a very unique and convenient house call service to sharpen my kitchen knives. Not only is this kind of personalized face to face business very rare in Vancouver, but it was also well worth my time, and hard earned money. As a person who takes transit, and works multiple jobs, it was also more efficient than sourcing a sharpener, transporting my knives, dropping them off, (being without them for a couple days), or waiting in the shop. My Shun Reserve Chef's Knife Damascus SG2 Blade, had a pretty significant section that had broken off at the tip. I wasn't even aware that you could remedy this injury and was only looking for sharpening, but when he saw the issue and said, I can fix this!" I was thrilled. My other admiration goes out to my grandmothers serrated bread knife. I had banked on the fact that it would be dull

I am absolutely blown away with the condition of my knives after Scott came to sharpen them. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He also took the time to explain how to properly maintain our knives so we get the longest usage out of them. I honestly was unsure and skeptical whether it would be worth it but It was the best decision. Highly recommend SharpenUp!!!

Scott is the best. His mobile sharpening service is incredible for those who don't have the time to drop them off - he came to our apartment, set up right outside and sharpened the knives out front of our building. He was prompt, so quick, and did an incredible job (these knives are better than brand new, I'm only mildly terrified of how sharp they are). Not only that, he took the time to answer all my questions about the process and each step along the way, the different types of knives, and the aftercare. I walked away with sharp knives, but also with a solid understanding of how to maintain them and a respect for the expertise and craft that goes into sharpening them. What was scheduled as a 'to-do' task actually turned into a really enjoyable hour of my afternoon. Scott - thank you!

I LOVE to cook and I was so impressed with how amazing Scott made my knives. I thought my knives were fine with my husband and myself “sharpening” them ourselves, until I got my knives back from Scott. Cooking has become that much more enjoyable now! Sharp, smooth and clean cuts makes the whole process of cooking so much more fun and specific. I am more precise with my cuts and less hacking up cuts of meat. Fantastic service. Scott, is a true pro. As an avid home cook, I was tired of the poor job my pull-thru knife sharpeners do, other than damage my knives. Can’t recommend enough. Sharp knives are safe knives.

I recently got a set of new woodworking chisels which were practically unusable because they were so dull. I tried sharpening them myself and quickly realized I was terrible at it!Scott was friendly and accommodating. My chisels are now super sharp and easily cutting through wood! It worked out to be very reasonably priced too. His card now lives in the case with my chisels so I remember to bring my chisels back to Scott the next time they start to get dull.
