Awesome place. Amazing camping with lots of varieties of lodging. They have an eco-conscious atmosphere. With campgrounds that are isolated with and without electricity. We had the electricity option to heat our van during the night. It was cold in September so a good heater is a must. I must say that we went towards the end of the season. So.our experience was good because it wasn't as crowded. The kayaking down the river is definitely the highlight. We took the popular" option and had an awesome time. They provide wet suits when it's colder. All in all

Personally I liked the place first because the access they have to the clear water river is amazing and second the hippies style of the complete place. So if you are looking for fantasy luxury spa is not here. If you are here to connect with nature yes !

Beautiful river with crystal clear water. We felt very safe and greatly enjoyed our first time kayaking. Water temperature is great for swimming.

Must keep in mind that this is a big area and a Camping space, even if you're staying at private rooms the service won't be the same of a 5 star resort. That said, i saw the staff work hard everyday on the bathrooms, reception, bar and activities to make sure everyone had the best experience. I had a blast there, the camping was nice, the river is amazing and the bar has a good variety of local beer and food. Only con is that it has a fire interdiction when i was there, so we couldn't make a fire on the camping area, but it's also something they can't control.

We descended the river with Cime Aventure and their guides. They offer important insight on how to navigate with ease the rapids. Super clean river with crystal water. The team really implements keeping the river intact and being courteous with the fishermen that we might cross as it is not uncommon to see floats of salmon. We stayed the night on their land and trust me, you cannot ask for more. Super children and pet friendly. It’s nice to see a clean place like this and seeing people being a good spirits. The owners were super welcoming and shed insight on their mission and company history. They explained to us how it was all created. Alsooooo they are environmentally conscious - they re-use their water for showers and bathrooms.A must see / go-to for everyone!

Bohemian campground with great access to the Bonaventure river. The water is crystal clear and the campground offers kayak and canoes for trips. We did the trip down the river to downtown Bonaventure (with own kayaks) and it was awesome. The campground is cool too as it is not your typical campground. The washrooms are open and coed, the sites have each a roofed portion made from recycled billboard posters which keep you nice and dry when needed. It has also some cabins which are in the wooded area. We did not see the inside but they looked cool and were all rented out when we were there so I guess they are popular.

Overall very disapointed with my stay and experience with cime aventures. I had heard good reviews from people but my experience was very different.First let's talk about the tipi accomodation.they seem to have taken down a lot of the picture from their website now, but while we booked, they had done a very nice job of marketing their tipi,They were showing off pretty and clean tipi with nice glass patio door and with indoor fireplace. The tipi we arrived to was very different, the indoor fireplace had been taken out, fully removed leaving only a part of the old chimney. The nights were very cold at the beginning of september, around 5 degrees and very humid, The inside was incredibly humid and cold, not at all comfortable without a fireplace. There was incredible amounts of spiderwebs found at the entrance of the tipi and an old ugly wooden door was used instead of the nice glass door from the picture. The 2 small beds were covered in a plastic cover to protect it but the big one wasn't, it was covered in an old bedding that someone had clearly brought and left behind, I Was very uncomfortable with the idea to sleep over someone's old sheet and no mattress protection. The second day was an incredibly rainy day, and we even had some rain dripping in the inside of the tipi, directly on the bed.I do understand that this is ''camping'' and not a 5 star hotel but the tipi is just clearly not cleaned, filled with spider webs and leftover soot all over. The cost of the tipi really doesn't reflect the low quality of the accomodation. The toilet and sink are also a little far, and its impossible to bring the car close to the tipi which makes it quite hard to bring all the stuff in, especially in the dark, at night. We didn't end up seeing the shower because we ended up leaving a day early because how uncomfortable our first night was in the tipi, and the water dripping in the second day. But the toilet facilities close to the restaurant were very dirty and smelly, and there was no hot water on any of the sink in that area, I don't know about the others. The pool area/spa look deserted like if no one had taken care of cleaned it in months.I still enjoyed my kayak experience, but I don't think we can say the same of many others that took the trip at the same time than us.The water levels were INCREDIBLY low, they mentionned to us possibly having to stand up 1-10 times during the duration of our 20km trip, but we were talking about more than 30+ time if not more. There was some entire section where it was impossible to use the kayak at all and had to be crossed on foot in the river while dragging the kayak.knowing those condition the little water boots should be provided at NO COST to everyone, They were really not pushing the fact that we would have to walk into the river that much to people and many skip renting those which would made the ride very uncomfortable. Luckily they were at least renting the wet suit for free because of the cold temperature and the rain but same should be done for the rain boots in such low water levels. Many (older ) people were growing extremely tired, uncomfortable and frankly frustrated after many hours of dragging their kayak in cold water and getting stuck on rock every couple minutes,Proper warning should be given as well as discount on low level days.
