Clear about pricing and deposit for checking / confirming the problem. $25 to be sure how much you need to spend and then have it work towards your bill is a solid system.TV was completely broken and it’s now fixed and working well!I suggest going in person, the shop is busy / full, and it shows how good of a job he does and he’s got lots of work!Highly recommend.

Brought my DJ controller to them because it wasn't powering on. They claimed that the component inside the machine was faulty and charged nearly $400 for replacement. When I went into the store to pick it up it still didn't power back on. The owner went to the back to grab another power supply and it worked. So, you can be the judge of whether or not they really changed the component inside my machine, but my suggestion is to never do a deal like this unless you know they are trustworthy.I'll be very clear to anyone who is considering going to this store and reading this review. Once you send your machine in for inspection, you will have absolutely no control of what they claim the problem is. Even if you don't repair it because you think it's too pricey, how do you know they won't take out parts inside your machine and resell them?

My so-called high end oven has an electronic control system that malfunctioned. The manufacturer only provides support through their ‘authorized’ local service providers; therefore the general appliance technicians were too skeptical to take on the job. I took the control unit and showed it to Sortek. Two days later Sorin (principal) phoned back with estimates of parts and labour. In answering my questions, he knew what he was talking about.A few days later, it was repaired. It works.

This place is the best . He is honest abc does great work . I recommend this business to anyone who has issues with electronics .

I have used Sortek for a number of repairs and the service is always great.I recently had an unusual challenge with a temperature reading/compass module for my truck and they found a creative solution at very reasonable cost.I HIGHLY recommend Sorteks services.

Ever wonder how Sortek can fix your item when noone else can?I sold Sorin a well-tested, perfectly functional item on eBay. I left a positive review, and after exactly 30 days, he claimed that the item did not work and he offered to have it evaluated at a repair shop. I was suspicious, based on other reviews here but we agreed; turns out it was his own repair shop and the price was so steep as to prevent me from authorizing the repair (go figure), so I asked for the item to be returned. When it arrived, I found that he had used my item for parts to fix someone else's item. He even swapped the bad part back into my item and lied about it repeatedly when I confronted him. I can only imagine that he is scamming dozens of other people so that he can repair obscure electronics, and since he the seller's positive review of him cannot be retracted, there is no effective recourse. You may be happy to have your item repaired by Sorin, but know that he has literally frauded people online to steal parts to do it.

Sorin was very understanding of the situation and managed to fix my Garmin GPS units that most other electronic places wouldn't touch. He special ordered the units and replaced the sockets with no issues.He was also very personable and professional. He will be my first choice for any electronics repairs I may need in the future.

Not recommend, as the whole interaction for a simple battery replacement didn’t feel right. Chose to forfeit the $25 dollar quote deposit rather than engaging further with this company/person.

These guys were a great find. I bought a faulty board from ADA Appliance in the US (EBay) which they would not take back. Sortek found three issues and fixed it in a few days. I really wish had found them at the start of this process.
