Saskatoon Police Service

I went there to issue a criminal record check, in less than 10 minutes I had it issued for me free of charge. Very fast service. Not to forget that the facility itself is so clean and neat.

It's tough being a cop today. Everyone is watching you closely, just waiting for you to make a mistake. And yet, you still do your jobs as well as you can. I am thankful for that. I always remember now to slow down in that school zone I got flagged down and busted in. In the past few years, I've overheard a few interactions between officers and highly intoxicated or domestically disruptive indigenous people. In every case, I was impressed. Each situation was handled calmly and with proper language and respect. I have never seen an officer act with hate or use excessive force, even after a physical struggle. You guys are indeed professionals. While having you driving behind me always makes me nervous, I'm glad you're around. Thank you.

Sgt. Culbert of the SPS attended at the scene of my father's death in June last year. She is an outstanding officer and an incredibly caring person. She was so kind, compassionate, and patient with me that day, and I will never forget it. It's difficult to even put into words how much I appreciate everything she did and said to comfort and reassure me during the worst moment of my life, and she even followed up with me a week or so later to extend her sympathies and provide further reassurance. I think of her often and will forever be grateful for her kindness. The SPS is very lucky to have her on their team. I should also note that there were a couple of other officers there that day as well and they were all very kind and caring, but I unfortunately did not remember their names. Thank you for the outstanding service SPS.

We had shoplifting at our store. So I called them and the attendant was very rude. She told me that the can’t do anything and can’t send officer down there. She suggested me to hire our own security team. Now why would we do that? We pay both personal and corporate taxes and for what? So you guys can sit at Starbucks or Tim Hortons all day long enjoying your coffee right. Useless people.

Called SPS for a simple noise disturbance, didn’t showed up. Waste of my tax money paying them.…and yes, it’s better to de-fund the police services here in saskatoon, just a waste of money.

Had a hit and run but got to the driver, called SPS to deal with the driver they didn't come out. Said somone will be there within a half hour, hour passes. Driver left the vehicle and scene on foot, called the cops again they didn't care the person left said it'll be an even longer wait probably two hours. Noticed the driver had open alcohol in their vehicle and told the constable who I had on the phone but she didn't seem to care just told me she will add it to the report and to come into the police station in the morning. Good job on letting a possibly drunk driver get away SPS. Doing the city great.

Great friendly staff with awesome customer service. I recieved my criminal record check the same time and within minutes and I was there really early and there was two persons at the counter.

Called to get some information about how to request documents and videos from an officer and was treated extremely rudely and when I tried to ask more questions the officer hung up on me. Extremely ruse and unhelpful. Had to talk to a supervisor to get the info I needed. Don't see why we pay these people so much to be rude and un helpful to citizens

No two officers will give you the same response! The Saskatoon City Police are the absolute worst officers in Saskatchewan! Battleford or Rosthern police are sadly FAR more capable! Saskatoon City Police would be more likely to catch a cold than anyone they're actually looking for...unless a citizen actually caught the individual for them! We were expecting much more with Chief Troy Cooper taking over... unfortunately it has only gotten worse...sad state of affairs. Called police about trespassers on neighboring boarded up property, they drove by, didn't see anything, so kept going! They were still on the property, I had to call police again and was told it would be placed at the bottom of the que, but someone would respond. Called police about attempted B & E and seeing assailant in alley, 2 cars responded, but neither checked the alley! Called police with a noise complaint, police responded, sat in the alley of the 200' property for 30 seconds, didn't hear anything, so drove off! IS THIS HOW THEY'RE TRAINED??? Sit in the car and do nothing but drive by's??? Absolutely pathetic! There's your tax dollars at work! If it doesn't make the police money, ex. ticketing you for whatever, there's a good chance you could get away with murder and the city cops would still be driving by....

My husband and I are new in the city of Saskatoon, we went for walked in downtown couple of times & 2 days ago I went on my own to enjoy the beautiful park, to my surprised the city police here seems very courteous.I was not going to leave review but I have to, very pleased as opposed to what other people say about them. Well done guys!
