Fitzroy Harbour Public Boat Launch
The pluses: concrete pier and ramp.The minuses: very sharp, steep and single lane entrance off Harbour Street; medium size parking lot at the bottom, so turning if the lot is crowded would be tough; and the boat ramp itself appears angled somewhat shallow. I'd have a lot of the truck in the water to get the boat floating, I think.Also, when I was there the water was quite low, so tie up on the pier would be 6 feet higher than the water. I'd launch my jon boat here but not my bow rider. If I had an extra pair of hands and very confident in manoeuvring the trailer I might try the latter too. Not sure it's worth the effort though.

Fitzroy Harbour Public Boat Launch
Low hanging branches on the super steep, washed out gravel, tight curves add to the thrill of getting to this boat launch. It gets very shallow, weedy, and rocky in the summer and is easy to drop trailer wheels over the end of the concrete ramp and into the mud. A few spots to park. Scout this one out before committing to a launch.At least it's a launch! Most boaters launch from Constance bay and head up river to get to this section of the river.
