John Eek & Son Ltd: Concrete & Aggregates

What an amazing family business!I found out about them through Google and went there as I needed a small order of gravel.They were so nice, professional and well priced. Won’t go anywhere else!If they treat a small customer like me so well I can only imagine how they take care of their bigger accounts.Thank you guys!

Purchased 5 loads of gravel to refinish very long driveway prior to listing it for sale (this was a BIG deal for us). Got multiple phone quotes with John Eek being the best. Called to set up delivery, they had no record of the original quote and the price had gone up over $100/load. Frustrated but went ahead with delivery. First load was beautiful and was laid down like carpet (very talented driver). Second load came a few hours later, was laid down very well but after a rain that evening the color difference was dramatic with a solid line showing where the second load was laid. Called and had to actually argue to get it fixed. Very frustrating. Picture included below. Finally came to an agreement to overlay the 2nd load with top layer matching color of first load. The following three loads were horribly laid down resulting in us having to attempt to level a very large area ourselves which we have never done and didn't know how to do. And the last load was again a slightly different color. So now in the large area right by the house we have multiple colors and it's very uneven...can not even begin to explain how stressful this is every time we look at it...so dissappointed...

A golf ball sized rock fell off the back of a John Eek and Son Stone Slinger and cracked my Windshield. I got the truck number and license to called into the business to see if they by chance could help me with the damage and after the man on the line admitted to having the truck in the area, he asked do you have a dashcam?" Being an honest person I said no and was answered with "well it looks like you're on your own then". After I expressed how truly unprofessional that response was I asked that he have a manager call me to discuss my concerns. He wrote down my phone number and said I'd be hearing from somebody soon. That was over a month ago. My father has been a John Eek and Son customer for years (and not a small one) and is extremely disappointed with how I was treated. I understand not paying for the Windshield (somewhat)

Got about 8 loads of gravel and sand this summer and 13 metres of concrete. Very happy with the customer service!

I ran into a convoy from this company on a rainy day on a busy highway and they drove like complete maniacs, almost causing several accidents. They were a menace on the road and were reported to the cops.

These guys are best of the best! The concrete quality and consistency from their volumetric trucks is second to none! Each and everyone of the drivers are eager to help out where they can creating a team environment!

Excellent experience dealing with Darryl, Bill and Gary at John Eek and Sons! We took on a huge backyard project and they helped us find a way to save a ton of time hauling soil and aggregates. Pricing is competitive and I really like dealing with someone that’s local. So glad we found them... highly recommend them!
