One of my favourite restaurants to end my Montreal trip and one I was recommended by somebody special. I love where this restaurant is situated and the vibe it gives. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious, we loved the mains as the Paella Borroco and the Fletán Moules. Which was the Halibut. The Halibut and the Paella. Truly a must when visiting Montreal.

Giving 3 stars for the yummy short rib. Honestly one of the more disappointing places I've been to in a while. The value for money is a bit of a joke.To be fair, our friend ordered the shortrib and it was very good. The sauce was tasty, the meat was well cooked and overall the dish was delicious. It's unfortunate that it was overshadowed by the rest of our disappointing food. The tartar was wildly disappointing, as was the eggplant side. We each took one bite of the eggplant and none of us liked it. See photo. There are so many great restaurants in the Old Port with similar price points ($100+) that offer a much greater value (quality!!!) for money.Overall we were unimpressed with the experience and would not return.

Snug and cozy place in the heart of Old-Montreal. Barroco can barely squeeze in 30 people, but this place packs a punch thanks to good food and amazing drinks combo.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, quality people. 100% would recommend if you want a memorable meal while in Montreal. We will for sure be back! Had the beef wellington for two- incredible. Try the homemade bread and whipped butter- just wow. Tim and all the staff were so welcoming and lovely.

Fresh, tasty, and huge paella. And the service is awesome too. What more can you ask for? Don’t forget to make reservations in advance as the place is small.

The food was sensational! The waiter that served us was really friendly and knowledgeable too. Only downside is that it's a bit too dark but it made the atmosphere of the restaurant cosy and chic for a date night. We were recommended the paella and beef rib with mashed potato. They were sooo good! Probably the best beef rib and mashed potato I've ever had.

Sat by the bar and had good service and the food was okay. The short rib was flavourful but the pickled veg on top was not desirable. The side of carrots was really nice. Octopus was my favourite.

One of the best restaurants in Montreal. Exquisite food but the bar is the star here. Everything is scratch made and expertly crafted. Highly recommended.

Came here just for drinks. They were great! My husband and I each got a couple. We came after the kitchen closed so didn’t get to try any food but the dishes that were still coming out around us smelled amazing.Update: Came back again 5 months later and had dinner. Food was incredible! The service was also excellent. My husband and I shared the burrata to start which was delicious, then I had the paella and my husband had the short ribs. Paella was very yummy but the short ribs were the best we have ever had anywhere we have gone. We will definitely be returning back to Barroco on future trips!
