Full service, clean, no showers. Very small spots, almost barren, no tree cover and extremely windy! We were here on a bright sunny June day, and still could not get out of the RV due to the wind! Will not come back.

Not really a destination in itself but is great for day trips. Campground is clean, well maintained and very quiet with full hookups. View of the windmills is neat and the night sky is incredible. There’s no playground anymore or hiking trails so there’s not much to do at the campground but the Boulder Run and Cottonwood day use areas are a very short drive away, as is the reservoir. Also close enough for day trips to Frank Slide and Waterton. Not many trees so it can get breezy. The wind was only an issue one night and one day. When the wind does blow it’s really strong. Gusts do come up so don’t risk using your awning.

Next to no tree cover and at times very windy. When we went there, the bathrooms were out of toilet paper for 2 days and the garbage bins weren't being emptied. Showers are currently closed cause of covid. It is a good location for things around it though, like Waterton, Frank Slide, etc. There's also a river just a short walk away.

We absolutely loved this little gem. We didn’t have any neighbours which made it very quiet and private, however if the campground was more full there would definitely be a lack of privacy between you and your neighbours. Full hookups, short little walk down to the river to watch the sunset was nice. The bathrooms/showers looked dirty and run down, did not use. I did notice lots of people drive into the site just to use the showers and then leave. Lots of traffic within the site which we found to be a bit odd since there wasn’t a whole lot of campers there.

There is no trees (well about 1 tree per site, but ours was cut down) so there is no shade unless you bring your own. The wind was relentless, constant all day and all night, with minimal down time on wind. So not sure if we were allowed fires if we would even of had one, as it is very dry there and the wind would I am sure take sparks far away. And it was STRONG wind, at the campsite or near the water. The water was about a 10 minute walk one way if you have to walk. Dogs enjoyed the walk, partner not so much! There is phone service at the campgrounds but not down near the water (you could stand on a tall rock and get 1bar) so pretty much no. I could not connect, so if you are on call (as I was) you can not enjoy the water without a booster. But as mentioned, up at the sites there was service. The campgrounds are in the backyards" of houses. So very close to housing area."

This campground is bare bones. Each site has 1 tree, the sites are very close together. It's all rock. No playground or beach and very windy almost all of the time.

Really enjoyed our stay. Having all the hook-ups was ideal, though it got a bit windy. Wish there was more to do here as well, there was no kids playground, and it's a very small campground, with little tree coverage. The views however, are to die for.

Depending on which way you arrive, you may pass by Cottontree Campground that is all full of mature trees and very lush looking and start getting excited... when arrive, you will basically find a gravel lot with stalls, but don’t let that distract you from what this campground has to offer. You are out of the Old Man River valley so you do get some wind gusts but they aren’t insane or horrendous. You are in a valley where there are hundreds of wind turbines, so expect some wind. We camped in a 28 ft trailer so weren’t bothered at all with wind. What this campground DOES have to offer is amazing views... of the valley and rolling foothills, of majestic soundless wind turbines, very peaceful and quiet surroundings. You can stand at the foot of the Old Man Dam and then 7 minutes later see the reservoir it has created. It has full hookups (30 amp and sewer included). Very central spot for day trips. DairyQueen is only 15 minutes away! All around good campsite that met our needs

No playground, limited privacy, and very few trees. Prone to lots of wind. Full hook ups make it very comfortable and a great base camp for day trips. Rocky beach and cottonwood playground just down the hill.
