Beautiful view, amazing nice staff, but I wasn’t over WOWED by the world famous fish and chips. $30 bucks for halibut & chips, smallest thing of coleslaw & tarter sauce tasted just like mayo , fish was not over cooked but was tasteless :( and the chips didn’t have a crunch to them & very small amount of them. But it was fill the need to eat type of moment. So it did the job in a pinch.

A family 4 of us plus our little pup had a great time here. Super friends staff, nice surroundings, good food…we had such a great time and great meal here.Oh Don’t miss the calamari with onions. Love it

as a person who doesn’t consume alcohol in any way, i was a little sad about not being able to try their fish and chips but salmon was great. the salad was good too but overall a little bland and very average. the servers were super nice tho. overall, go there if you consume alcohol

Great view of Horshoe Bay, nice cozy atmosphere & decor. Food presentation was nice, pricing was good, flavors could be increased! I think the mashed potatos could use some work, maybe some butter and seasoning! But overall a great experience.

The customer service was ok.The quality and portion of the food did not match with the price tag.It’s located in a scenic area and it can easily gain twice as much customers by taking care of some of improvements opportunities..

Eggs and sausages were good, bacon was kind of dry. Definitely nice view from restaurant and amazing and cheerful staff.

You can never go wrong at Troll's. Nice view. Great to visit Horseshoe Bay for an afternoon outing. Short drive from Vancouver.

Very rustic and cozy.Very friendly staff, in fact even the customers are super friendly there.Seafood stew was packed with seafood, thick in texture, very hearty, just lacking a bit in flavour.The cod fish and chip was great! The batter was light and super crispy, fish was perfectly cooked, and the fries were the soft kind.Overall I enjoyed our lunch on a cold November day.

I appreciated that they were quick taking my order as I was on the next ferry. It wasn't until after the server walked away that I realised she hadn't asked how I wanted my eggs, and I forgot to ask for my English muffins to be lightly toasted. The eggs came medium, which is okay for eggs Benedict, but my preference is soft. The muffins had a noticeable amount of black edges, but thankfully, it wasn't enough to affect the taste. The shrimp and crab were piled high, and the hashbrowns were perfectly toasted. It was worth the $23.Unfortunately, when I went to use the ketchup, it leaked on the table, seat, and my clothes. I told the waitress, and she asked if I wanted another bottle. I said yes and asked for napkins. I would have appreciated an apology that it happened and an offer of napkins instead of having to ask for them. Also, when I left, there was a young man at the desk by the door, and he didn't say a word as I walked past him and left.
