Lazy M Lodge

Truly a great find. This peaceful country lodge offers you a home away from home setting. Cozy quilt covered beds. Family style dining, DEE-licious meals served by, and shared with the owners. A breathtaking view overlooking a beautiful little river. The hall was spacious and comfortable for our group of 13 quilters. Both the hall and the lodge have a great log cabin rustic feel with cozy wood burning fireplaces. We look forward to returning. Thank you for your hospitality!!

I was fortunate to visit the Lazy M Lodge for a craft retreat with my sister and friends in Nov.We all had a wonderful time ,Randy and Marcel are great hosts and offer a very comfortable surroundings, excellent meals and clean rooms. Not to mention delicious homemade treats in the afternoon. I’ll never forget that weekend and hope to visit again one day.

This place was simply awesome! My stepson and I attended a fly fishing weekend host at the Lazy M and we 100% satisfied with every part of our stay. The place is quaint and peaceful, the hosts are wonderful, the food was off the hook awesome! If you are looking for a place to just unwind and relax, this place is the place you are looking for!

I joined a group for a quilting retreat. They told me that it was an excellent facility and they were right on. The property is beautiful and spacious. Rusty the resident collie joined us for a walk and kept a close eye on us although we didn’t get to see any wildlife. The lodge is very inviting and the meals were great. The soak in the hot tub at the end of a long day was a bonus. I’m registered for next year!

I was at the Lodge for a wedding and reception. This was held in the newly renovated Gathering Centre and had about 125 for the reception. The staff of the Lodge was very accommodating, easy to get along with, and the atmosphere for the entire wedding was very relaxed. Everything at the Gathering Centre was even cleaned up by the time the overnighters got up in the morning.------------------The comment made by the anonymous person below does not portray the true story. I think he was expecting a star service comparable to a larger hotel in a larger centre. The Lodge is in a rural setting with all the charm that setting provides, with excellent ‘home cooked’ meals, fellowship with the owners where warranted or invited, and a very relaxed atmosphere. The guys do whatever they can to make the guests’ stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.A lot of work has been done to the property since the guys took ownership. The ‘barn’ is now a ‘gathering centre’ which holds meeting, meals for over 125 persons, and recreational activities. There are now tent and trailer sites available. Most of the beds in the Lodge are very new and hotel quality. And the sky while you are in the hot tub … with at least 20 billion stars cannot be missed.

First off I want to say we did not actually stay at the Lazy M. But our daughter and now-son-in-law booked this venue for their wedding and we were all so excited about having this event at the Lazy M. Marcel and Randy were so helpful, so friendly and so generous with their time. Then Covid hit, the wedding plans dramatically changed and we had a very small event elsewhere. This meant we had to cancel at the Lazy M and we still feel sad about it. Some time I still want to visit this beautiful place. Thanks for all your help Randy and Marcel! If anyone is looking for a wonderful country wedding venue give this place a visit.

Held our wedding and reception here. The hosts, Randy and Marcel, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They had several helpful suggestions that helped make our wedding run smoothly, and their relationships with local services and suppliers really came in handy. The food was good. The site itself is a gem - there's fishing, lots of space, and an authentic (not cheesy) rustic vibe. Great time overall!

This place is incredible and so are Randy and Marcel. Highly highly recommended. The landscape is so beautiful, the lodge is spacious, cozy and clean. The wrap around deck that overlooks the creek and neighbouring forests and fields is the perfect place to relax and the hot tub around the corner is the perfect place to recharge. Will definitely be back- again, again and again!

This is an amazing getaway experience. There's so many options for either staying casually with family or hosting events or get togethers.It's nestled into some amazing green forest space, on the bank of a river perfect for fishing. It gives you the vacation experience while still having access to all the necessary amenities.The owners and staff are so welcoming and inclusive you can't possibly find a better place to be.

I have had two family reunions here that were so perfect, it led to me booking this place for my wedding. Ultimately this place is perfect for 1 to 125 people, from a quiet fishing trip to a wedding. I will be reviewing the latter of those two examples.This venue and the owners are incredible. If your wedding is 125 people or less and you want an affordable more rustic feel, this venue should be on your list to see. It is located near Caroline, Alberta. The huge property has a beautiful perfectly maintained hall, beautiful guesthouse with 8 bedrooms (which was an absolutely perfect place for the wedding party and some close family to stay), powered RV camping spots, and like a million perfect photo spots (our photographer was thrilled).The owners, Randy and Marcel, were incredibly helpful and worked with us closely to help us have the perfect day. They were even an enormous help during the wedding day itself! I can't speak highly enough of them.It is exponentially better to work with owners than with the manager of some chain venue/hotel. In my planning process I noticed a huge problem is weddings have become too commercialized and standardized.
