Walmart Supercentre

How in the heck do they list this as a superstore...far from it...the one in Oakville Ontario, or Ancaster Ontario, Dartmouth, Halifax may be superstores but Port Hawkesbury is a far cry from it....someone messed up somewhere....you are lucky you can find anything there, and make sure you don't buy the Supposed fresh vegetables or breads etc. because they certainly are not fresh....bananas black the following day, oranges half rotten in two days...ridiculous and the prices aren't cheap...

The aisles are pretty tight and uncomfy when employees have large loads out to stock while it’s busy but the staff are great!

Note: this is Walmart in portage la prairie, MB. Can't seem to change this.Only 2 cashiers open, so pretty much had to use self checkout. Girl in the shoe department was very helpful. Didn't even had to ask, she just offered to help me find something. Pretty rare these days. Didn't use the bathroom, but Walmart should be ashamed of thier hand dryers. No air pressure. Might as well use your pants!

Writing on my alt for personal protection since PHK is a small town but the tech guys are super cocky/rude. Stock is very lacking too, ordered something on amazon which took a week to get here and when it came in & I did some grocery shopping I took a quick peek of the stock to see if it had came in, no dice.

Hard to find much at this store. Staff doesn't know there own policies and Manager dose not return calls. There is enough competition around that you can go somewhere else. So please stop buying into this place and support the smaller local guys who ACTUALLY want to help you and your communities.

I was shopping at the Port Hawkesbury Walmart and a young girl Madison was extremely patient and helpful to me. Shecshould be commended for her professional demeanor. I will ask for her t wait on me in the future. Don Smith

I noticed one of your fire exits is blocked??? As well as an employee and I got to talking and you have no security and won’t hire anyone even though the job is posted? “Loss prevention” and security are not the same thing. Feel bad for the people running checkout as there are so few of them and the lines are a lot longer now that the self-serve has been put in. Noticing a hire turn-over rate in your employees as well? Maybe it’s because Managment is so cheap and doesn’t value their staff?

Phk superstore is a breath of fresh air from antigonish. They have about the same space but theres more and better organizational capabilities in port hawksbury. Props to you guys!

Update:Hi folks I'm back 11 months later, I forgot I even reviewed this. I went back today to Wal-Mart Port Hawkesbury and had the exact same experience. IF THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE PHOTO LAB WERE ANY DUMBER YOU WOULD HAVE TO WATER THEM TWICE A DAY. Management please get one of the international students working in there. If you need help, find one of the East Indians, they actually help you and they actually have a clue.This Walmart location in Port Hawkesbury leaves too much to be desired. The staff are so unhelpful it's ridiculous. This is why most of the time I avoid them, but the times you actually need to interact with them proves their idiocy. WHERE ARE THE SELF CHECKOUTS? The line ups are 1km long. Super understaffed---get the self checkouts. Which leads me to my biggest point: The people in the photo lab have no idea that they even work in the photo lab it seems. They had one young woman, who looks like she is named Muffy, down there, who seemed like it was her first hour on the job, she was terrified to answer the most basic of questions.
