Homemade goodies, excellent breakfasts, and great coffee! It's a unique little diner style stop and you won't be disappointed if you're looking to cure a craving for brunch. We also tried the apple pie - yum!

I love this place and can't wait to go back!!! It has that quintessential diner atmosphere with spectacular food and service!! It doesn't have a lot of tables, so get there early. The area also has a bunch of great walkable shopping.

Came on Father's Day for brunch and only had to wait 5-minutes to be seated (make sure you go to the front and get on their list). Due to limited staff, you'll need to also order at the front too. Food was reasonable priced and good. Sausages were extremely salty and didn't touch the water since the cups smelled funky. Overall, good experience and might resort to take-out next time.

50s style café restaurants that serve good old-fashioned comfort food are a dying breed. I am pleased to report that Cadence is the flag-bearer for this style of restaurant.I had never been here until quite recently. When I entered, I found a large dining area with a walk-up counter in the middle to place my order. The staff that man the counter are quite friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They guide you through the ordering process so smoothly.The Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich was HUMONGOUS! With so many ways to customize it to your liking it is delicious too! I looked at it at first and wondered how I was going to be able to bite it! That is a refreshing change from other establishments whereby I wonder how I am going to fill myself up!The Cafe Mocha was amazing too. I loved the whipped cream topping. It makes for a lovely treat.I see that they also serve breakfast here too. I will have to come back and try that next time.

Good food at a good price at a friendly neighbourhood joint. Feels a little dated inside and some tables are a bit wobbly, but it somehow it adds to the atmosphere. This has become our easy Sunday breakfast joint.

Well tried this place out for the first time and it’s definitely a hidden gem. No idea that bowness had any unique breakfast joints. But then I found Cadence.It’s a good place with simple tasty breakfast options. Service was friendly and the food came out quick and piping hot. Full of flavour and great value means you won’t be leaving with an empty stomach.The restaurant is a mix of retro decore and no frills seating. Parking can be a bit of a pain if it’s busy but if your willing to walk a bit that won’t be a problem.Hit this spot up and crush the breakfast burrito. Whoop !!

I am completely blown away by these reviews…. What??? I was just there and basically only finished what was on my plate because I was so hungry and it cost us $50 bucks. My “home style potatoes” were shrivelled, nearly black, and chewy, my bagel wasn’t toasted, nothing on it, just dry with flavourless eggs. Nothing on our plates had flavour. It was cold as well. I literally had to smother everything on my plate with hot sauce just so I could taste it. The slices of tomatoes were literally hard and nearly green and tasteless. The crazy thing is that I hardly ever complain and usually wolf down whatever is put in front of me. But that was $50 dollars and extremely bad food. Can’t get over the rest of these reviews.

We came in to grab a quick treat out of the cooler at 330 knowing they closed at 4. It’s Father’s Day and I understand we all have bad or busy days but being ignored when we first came in after she rolled her eyes at us wasn’t cool.The person up front didn’t talk to us then someone from the back came to say “we close at 4”(after we’ve been waiting there for 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge us)No greeting, no one asked what we wanted. It felt like they didn’t want us to order let alone be there. The service was really disappointing.

Cute place. Vibe is chill & friendly. The beautiful latte art that came on my flat white made me smile. More importantly, it was delicious. Prices are very reasonable also. Worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood.

Stopped in for coffee after a walk in Bowmont Park. A nice location with good coffee and a great Nanaimo bar. Service was quick and friendly. The decor is lively, with a bit of a diner feel. Will have to come back and try something from the full menu. I recommend.
