If you think twice about calling Grindstone you will regret it. They should always be your first call.Trades in Vancouver can be a daunting experience especially if you don’t have a general idea yourself of what needs to be done and how. It’s very easy to be taken advantage of and not know any better. Tom and Stavros have completely changed my perspective on the industry. Communication is a real strength for both of them. If you reach out to them for something you get a response within minutes. That really puts you at ease while your house is upside down in construction mode. They also both live up to their word. If they tell you something will get done or if they’ve made a mistake somewhere they take care of it period. They’re both also really good people. I always felt like they treated our home like their own. Their trades people were all also very respectful. They cleaned up every day after their work was done, taped off the work space so dust wasn’t getting into the rest of the house, etc. Honestly I can’t say enough about Grindstone other than to take the time and give them the opportunity to quote you on your job.I’d happily speak to any homeowner considering hiring them for a more personal testimonial / experience.

Tom and his crew are truly professional & I am totally in love with my new kitchen that was gutted & rebuilt. Everything was brand new from flooring, to backsplash, beautiful cabinets by Marco, quartz countertop & lighting! All done on time & on budget. I cannot recommend this company enough! Very happy with my experience with Grindstone. Contracted them for a full bathroom renovation. At all stages of the process, I was kept informed of timeline, schedule, and cost. Tom is extremely responsive via email or text for any questions you have. Project was completed on time, and on budget. Could not be happier with the finished project! Simply the BestEmailed on a Sunday afternoon and Tom emailed me back in 15 minutes. Totally impressed just at that. Our MB shower leaked on to our dining room table below. Tom was at our place Tuesday morning, had a quote next day, they started the next Wednesday. Three bathrooms have now morphed into whole house renovation. All Tom's guy's and sub contractors are amazing. Couldn't recommend them more.Simply the Best!!!

my husband and i bought an older townhome that was in need of some serious work - it was outdated and in really bad shape from previous neglect. kind of a huge risk but we couldn't be happier with the result! tom and his crew worked quickly and on budget and pretty much gave us an entirely new and updated townhome. tom is super responsive and is able to adapt to my last minute requests or decision changes with no problem. while every room is amazing, i am seriously in love with my kitchen with its beautiful cabinets (including under cabinet lighting!), glass backsplash, and all new appliances. i wouldn't hesitate to use grindstone renovation again or recommend them to anyone needing help with their home project, big or small.

If you are looking for a contractor to do your reno's, look no further. We hired Grindstone Renovation to take on a large task, to give our 1970's Vancouver special house a facelift. Cannot praise Tom, Stavros and team's work. Each and every one of them are highly skilled individuals and they work in a professional manner. Bathrooms, kitchen phases are finished, and now onto the basement/laundry area - the transformations are truly amazing.
