Happy Cake House

We visited this bakery store first time and was welcomed by the owner. She was very friendly. Bread and cakes are delicious and price is cheap. It's far from my home but will support this small business whenever I have time.

Second cake from Happy Cake House and we are, as described, very happy! Our cake was fluffy, light, not too sweet, balanced, just perfect! I made the order, admittedly, a bit late and they were so generous in accommodating my request. Remember to bring cash! A family-run business. We've enjoyed their Chinese-style fruit cake and famous durian cake.

Had found this bakery on google and decided to try it. Bought durian cake from this bakery 2 times already and price is reasonable, cake tastes fantastic and staff is super friendly. Durian cake was not too sweet or to plain it was the right amount of sweet along with actual chunks of durian inside of the cake. Absolutely fantastic bakery. Found my new go to bakery.

The best Chinese bakery in Ontario. The Bbq bun ($1.59) taste just like how a Bbq bun should taste like and definitely NOT dry. Way better then Saint Germain Bakery, Lucullus Bakery and T & T grocery market and NOT over priced. Their coconut buns (4 in a package), very generous with the coconut filling. Great customer service!

The owners are such nice, accommodating people. They make it very clear what you are ordering and what to expect. Priced very well. I bought two durian cakes for the holidays and they were Delicious!! Coming back every year for sure. They decorate the cakes beautifully, without me requesting for it. Great service that you would expect everywhere you go, but rarely encounter.

Friendly service from this small bakery owned and operated by a husband and wife. They made me a 3 layered white cake with fruit and whipped topping while I waited, which took about 15 minutes. A 9 inch round cake cost $35, which is cheaper than at T&T (T&T charges $34 for an 8 inch round).The cake had a fine, moist crumb, and the sweetness was just right--not too sweet, just sweet enough. I deducted one star from the rating because I felt like they could've used more whipped topping, and I'm pretty sure that the fruit used in the layer filling was from a can. Also, the writing on the cake was not very professionally done. But it was still all DELICIOUS, and I'm happy that I found this bakery.Other items available included a triangular apple strawberry pie ($1.99) which I was tempted to try but managed to resist. Egg tarts were $1.29 (or 6 for $6.60). I also saw the usual assortment of hot dog rolls, BBQ pork buns, and some traditional black bean or red bean pastries.Cash payment only.The location of this bakery is tricky to find. It is near an ethnic supermarket at the back of the mall, down a very short hallway, . The hallway looks like it leads only to an exit, but this bakery is tucked on one side of the hallway.Worth a visit! Support this very small business! Highly recommended.

Very tasty Durian cake. The owner did not have one ready when we got there but assembled one in 20 minutes. The cake was moist and soft, the durian filling was fresh and creamy and the cream was not too sweet. Will go here again.

A classic grandma bakery. Fairly priced, everything is delicious. They have halal options. The peanut rice balls are my absolute favorite. The chicken buns too are good and the custard buns are just as great.

We have been coming to this place for years. Has the best durian birthday cake in the city. Have not found anyone that can come place. We purchased a Japanese cheesecake today, recommended trying this.

Great place for baked goods. We picked up one of almost everything and they were all very light and airy and delightful. Some of the fillings were not as flavorful as I like i.e. the bbq pork bun but thats such a controversial and personal bun I can't say it was bad. Overall great place I would definitely visit again. The owner was very helpful and gracious aswell.
