I want to give a big thumb's-up for Matt. Before the wedding, he was refreshingly straightforward to deal with, totally no-nonsense, no-BS. He posted his prices clearly on the website, and provided a very simple, economical package for us, with clearly priced options for additional services (which sadly, we didn't budget for). At the wedding, he was remarkably calm and low-key. When things ran behind schedule, he was able to extend our contract with no hassle, for a reasonable per-hour rate. And after the wedding, the photos turned out fantastic: he got all the important formal shots, he got incredible candid shots of guests and kids -- shots that put a huge grin on my face, he got some great action shots of the dancing and bouquet toss, and he even managed to get some striking and romantic portraits just by walking around our venue with us. Plus, he provided full-resolution digital files for us to do with as we wish, including sharing all the photos with all our guests, who absolutely loved them. He's even re-edited a few photos for free, where my bride wanted different colouring/lighting. I recommend him very highly!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Matt for our wedding. From the very beginning he was friendly, extremely easy to work with and very professional. We appreciated that he was so quick to respond to his emails and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions (when I'm sure we were!).Weddings can be such a stressful time but knowing that Matt had our photos under control gave us one less thing to worry about. He was great at directing both my husband and I in our portrait shoots as well as organizing our entire wedding party (11 of us) for the group shots. Our limo was late picking us up so we were late for our first look photos, however Matt was so efficient and able to adapt that he made up the time with time to spare! We absolutely love our photos and our family and friends are so impressed with them as well. We highly recommend Matt!!

Matt was a pleasure to work with; my husband and I had a small Covid wedding planned for June 2021 but because of one of our parents falling gravely ill just a few months prior to the ceremony, we weren’t sure where we would be able to hold our special day as what was most important to us was for our parents to all be with us. Matt was very accommodating and met with us at a tentative location to plan and put our hearts at ease given so many details were still unknown. Matt was super kind and adaptable on short notice. Thankfully our Dad was able to recover and we held a gorgeous ceremony at our dear friend’s lake house in Kelowna. Matt arrived early and absolutely captured all of the most candid and unexpected shots that were so near and dear to our hearts, both in pictures and in a beautiful video. For example, our Dad surprised us with the announcement that he wanted to get up and walk which he had not been able to do since his illness - on the fly, Matt captured this moment beautifully, the biggest smile on our Dad’s face! Matt also captured so many other side moments with our daughter, our dog, our family, that so touched our hearts. Through Matt’s wonderful work, we are able to relive our special day, tears of joy running down our face each and every time… Thank you Matt from our hearts and on behalf of all of our family! We hired Matt for our wedding. Matt did a wonderful job with our engagement photos. The problem is these are staged and not very candid. When it comes to candid shots at the wedding, we feel that Matt did a very poor job. We thought that since Matt did so well with our staged engagement photos that he would do well with other staged photos throughout our wedding, like family shots. This was certainly not the case. There’s a wonderful picture of my wife and her father when my wife is getting ready, but the closet door is wide open, and the entire shot is ruined by the heaps of stuff hiding in the closet. Even worse was the family photos after the ceremony. Matt asked us for a list of all the family groupings we wanted to be captured during this time. Of course we wanted a shot with each of our parents. !!Matt failed to capture a shot of my wife and I with her parents!! My wife is absolutely distraught about this, and still gets very upset about this oversight to this day! What’s the point of having a list if you’re not going to triple check it?! Perhaps he was off his game, but this is not a valid excuse when your sole job is to capture the best moments from a once in a lifetime event. There’s no do-over to this day.

My husband and I have had such a wonderful experience with Matt over the past year. He took our engagement photos just over a year ago and our wedding photos 2 months ago. I have to say that they are gorgeous! We couldn't be more pleased. Our engagement photos are stunning and I have many of them up on the walls of our home. We have our wedding photos now and not only did Matt take gorgeous pictures of the wedding party but he also captured beautiful photos of all our friends and family. When the wedding events were running behind schedule, Matt stayed an extra hour for us at a more than reasonable rate. He truly was such a pleasure to work with. Very easy going and he made the whole experience fun. I highly recommend Matt!

We had our engagement and wedding pictures done by Matt, and had an absolute blast with him in the process. He's very easy to work with and will go to any length to get amazing shots.. even staying out in a snowstorm. He's got an incredible eye for detail, and captured our day perfectly. I'm so grateful to have stumbled across his page, and that he was able to be part of our wedding day. I don't think I can say anything that will do him enough justice.
