As a member of the SKLA for more than ten years and a Board Member for seven years, I have seen firsthand the work that the SKLA commits to for all Landlords in Saskatchewan. There have been many significant and positive changes, predominately during the past two years under the direction of CEO Cameron. I recently completed the Rental Housing Bootcamp: Module 1 with SKLA. I have been a landlord for few years and consider myself fairly familiar with the residential tenancies act and regulations, I still found this course very informative and am glad I took it. I am thankful this association exists to give landlords the tools and information they need to make certain they are complying with current regulations.

I am proud to be a member and director of SKLA and so proud of the growth of the association led by Cam over the past few years. Cam and his team are an amazing support and resource for both large and small landlords in the province and are helping to improve professionalism and integrity in our industry. This, in addition to all the advocacy work means our voices can be heard and changes can be made for the better. Rental housing is a business and knowledge is key and the training programs are helping to raise the bar for rental housing in Saskatchewan.

Our company has been an SKLA member for close to a decade and I have been a Board member for the majority of that time. I am proud of the growth and evolution the Association has demonstrated, particularly under the new Management. Cam, the CEO, has expertly guided Saskatchewan landlords through the pandemic and other recent challenges to rental housing providers over the past 2 years. I would strongly recommend the SKLA for its advocacy work, education and guidance to all landlords - big and small.

When you are faced with challenges as a landlord/agent and your head is spinning for answers related to property management/ tenant issues this is where you come. As a property manager your knowledge about rental rules are tested in every way, and when you cannot remember them all. This is where I come.
