Swap N Shop

Went in to Swap N Shop to purchase a few coins and a camera lens. I was 1 of 2 people in there. The other person was being helped by a employee but when I walked in no one acknowledged me and I ended up standing inside for 10 minutes while one employee was sitting down and the other 2 were talking about movies and music to each other. Definitely suggest going somewhere else

I had recently called about a piece of jeweler I was thinking of bringing in but it being quite expensive I wanted to call to make sure I wasn't wasting my time... the jeweler seemed very upset that I called almost made it seem as if I didn't know what I was talking about, came off very rude and was not a very pleasant conversation

Excellent pawn shop with professional, friendly staff. My husband and I have purchased several good quality air tools from here, and everything has worked perfectly for us. Be sure to check out the downstairs - that is where the tools etc. are. Some fun sports memorabilia down there too.We appreciate how there is no pressure at all, you are free to browse. When you need assistance, the staff is very helpful. We will be sure to visit again.

The staff (Dean) was very helpful with my purchase of an antique phonograph. He went out of his way to find the answers to my questions about the phonograph (since it is very old and does not come with instructions). He also was very careful in packaging and shipping this extremely delicate phonograph. A great experience all around, the phonograph is in great shape, and priced reasonably (priced to sell" as Dean put it himself - which was very true!). I am super glad I purchased this through Swap N Shop and can't wait to enjoy this for many years to come!"

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to assist me both times that I visited and would recommend their services. A place that I'll continue to visit in future.

I always have good experiences with Nicole. She's patient, exceptional and professional. I feel very confident when she is in that store. I’m sure all the other “good” reviews are going to cover up mine, but this is a really honest review so I hope there are people out there that believes mine. I have seen similar reviews like mine in the review sessions as well. I realized that the people at the front and others were nice and very friendly. Those are the people that helps with customer service when someone wants to buy something at the store. So buying from there and asking them is great. But I realized the problem for most of the bad reviews and mine is the man at the pawn area who’s really rude. So you’ll experience it only or mostly when you want to sell something because he’s the person for that. So my friend is new to this pawn shop and selling thing. He went there to sell something with a specific price that he himself thought was decent. I think so too and so does his friends. So he asked for other’s opinions as well. Not just his. And I guess the price was high for the old man. And just for that he got really upset and mad to the point where he called my friend to a shelve where there was a similar item that my friend wanted to sell and he said “are you blind?”, showing the price the shop was selling with. There were more rude and unprofessional behaviours, but I feel like this sent out the message I want to give. And I hope people that are looking through this will get something out of this because I don’t want anyone to go through this. I apologize for the long review as well, but everything I have said is the truth.

This is easily the best pawn shop in the city. I was in a jam and had to move out of my place, I had 3 weeks to find a new place and they gave me what I needed to secure a place with first and last. Very very fair prices and the owner / staff are all super kind and professional. Would give 10 stars if possible. Thanks guys !

The owner Dean was really great and reasuring during all the purshase process and gave fast responses. I ordered a saxophone by internet, the condition was exactly as mentionned. No problems with the Interac paiement and the shipping was sheap and fast!I recommend Swap N Shop!
