Steve at Dr. Furnace has provided great service on a number of occasions. For furnace repair when the gas valve was leaking, for an air conditioner replacement when the unit broke in the middle of a heat wave and to install a new gas water heater on short notice when the old one cracked and stopped working. Steve was honest about pricing provided great service. Skip the big chains and their lengthy service contracts and support local business.

I had a heater go down and contacted Steve at Dr Furnace Heating and Cooling. Even though he was swamped the entire work day, Steve went out of his way to contact me and discuss my situation at length. With no exception, everything Steve remotely detailed about my heating system ended up being correct. His knowledge of heating systems was only surpassed by the feeling he gives that he genuinely cares about his customers needs. You don't find that too often nowadays. There are very people like Steve out there. I called him, and he picked up first ring, and I could hear in the background that he was working. But, he took my call and asked me what the problem was.I had an issue with my humidifier on my furnace, and in a short few minutes, he advised me what to do - all the while in a work area - and to my absolute delight, what he said to do… worked.I couldn’t believe that a person who was clearly busy, took the time to listen attentively and provide an exact series of steps to try and fix it, and did all the while not trying to sell me anything, and not even a service call. Nothing. When my furnace stopped working, I initially called another company who claimed very persistently that I needed a new furnace. When Steve came by, he diagnosed the problem easily, showed me some of the inner workings of the furnace, and fixed the ONE thing that wasn’t working.
