Probably the worst airline experience ever. Took an all inclusive package to Dominican. Never received the checked-in baggage. Claim I submitted is no longer visible online. Hours of wait to try and speak to an agent. Rude agents who say you are in queue, just wait. Refuse to escalate to supervisor, say call back later. No answers, no accountability.Travel with them at your own risk.

Had the worst experience I’ve ever had during the holidays. Flight was canceled because of weather which is understandable but was told we’d get an email to reschedule, never happened and after 3 day rebooked. Still never heard back on the first flight. We got stuck in Calgary for 7 days. They never reimbursed our hotel nor reimbursed flight. They way back was unimaginable worse. They let us rebook on nonexistent flight and didn’t tell us until we showed up, the rebooked for next day, after 10 minutes in the air had an emergency landing. We had to rebook out of another airport and drive hours to. Impossible to talk to someone that could actually help. Worst airline ever!

My wife and I saved up Westjet Dollars for years for a trip to London, England.We made this trip 8 years ago and it worked out very well.We are ready to make the same trip again this year, however Westjet has elected to no longer fly direct from Toronto to London. You now have to fly from Toronto to Calgary, spend hours in the Calgary airport, before flying back over Toronto on your way to London, England!!!How environmentally friendly is that logic!!! I prefer to do business with companies that actually care about the environment! Not sure what to do with my Westjet dollars now. So incredibly disappointed in their logic!!

Check-in through the app is very helpful. Staff were friendly and the flight overall was comfortable.However, both flights I took, there was a delay because of there being too much carry-on luggage. Some end up being put as checked baggage. It seems unfair to make individuals pair for a checked bag, when it’s the carry-on causing all of the problems.

Thé IT outage isn’t great. Might have known something was amiss when we first showed up and the agent was writing out our boarding passes by hand. Then our flight was delayed twice before finally being cancelled. Came back the next morning to fly to a Toronto and found out our connecting flight out of Toronto was cancelled as well, shortly after landing. Stayed the night in Toronto and am now hoping to fly out tonight. We are being routed through Calgary where we spend one more night before being flown home. No direct flights to home from Toronto had enough space for us. WestJet staff have been professional throughout. Good communication. As long as we are compensated appropriately, we will fly with them again. It’s one of our favourite airlines.

As part of package , WestJet was responsible for picking us up from and to airport in Mexico. They did not pick us up and when we complained they said they won’t pay for the taxi we had to get. It took them close to two months for them to reply to the complaint.

You know, I've flown with westjet for 10 years.... it wasn't until tonight I reached my breaking point. Spent extra money for first class. Our flight gets delayed 3 hours. Another 20 minutes sitting on the tarmac.... I understand why people fly aircanada. Sure it's more money but atleast it's reliable. Very disappointed. Will be canceling the cc and my points system and switching. No more. Unacceptable.

WestJet is the worst airline I have ever taken!!!!! We are heading to London UK today, booked with WestJet Response leaving Vancouver local time 1:00pm, arriving should be Toronto local time 8:30, connection to London 9:15pm. However, flight delayed to arriving 8:45, WestJet to London boarding 8:20, by the time we run all the way from B gate to C cross half of airport was 9:04, and been told gate closed. We missed fight!!! After been standing in the lineup( WestJet cancelled one of the fight and cause many people in lineup to find solution). We have been put on next fight which is next day 11:15 pm!!!!!! And arrive London 31st at 11:00 local time. Higher Likely we will not able to make our flight to Copenhagen, this would be even worse!!!WestJet customer refuse to book hotel for us, refuse to look for other solution. Just simplely through us a coupon and claim will refund $150 on accommodation but we had to apply it online. Hotel Around Toronto airport all around $600 per night. The customer service feels she had done us a favor by give us a connection flight tomorrow. Now we will have to spend 3 days include today travel just at airport!!!! Never had such experience!!! Recently had same situation with flight delay at New York and had to stay a night at Boston. However, the customer services for JetBlue is completely different! WHAT IS WRONG with WestJet?????? I will not book with WestJet anymore. Super unreliable, inresponable, non-friendly and non-patient customer service. Understood sometimes flight delays, but the customer service could make a difference! Now at 11:19pm, all restaurant closed, we are still at airport trying to find food and hotel!!!!

We flew on WestJet from Calgary and was supposed to connect another flight to LaGuardia with a 2.5 hour overlay. However this flight was delayed for over 2 hours and we ended up missing our connection. We were actually quite upset originally, but the ground crew at Toronto Pearson was very nice and helpful to us. From the crew in the US customs area to the check-in assistance counter in the main area, everyone was super nice to us and made a bad situation much more pleasant. Even though it was WestJet's fault originally, but I have to commend their ground crew for their customer service. I will definitely not hesitate to fly WestJet again.
