DO NOT STAY HERE! You will not get your damage deposit back. The owner lives in an rv right beside the place and will periodically pop over to say “she forgot something inside” but it’s cleary and excuse to spy on what’s going on. The house is smoked in heavily and reaks of cigarette smoke. Almost sickening. The place is unsafe and dangerous to kids. Lawn isn’t mowed. Very rude owner and hard to deal with. STAY AWAY!!!

Perfect Large Family Get Away....our daughter decided to marry in Nova Scotia and most of the guests were from different provinces and states.We were so pleased to find this gem that housed 16. We were able to catch up with family from far and wide to celebrate our daughter's wedding in Pugwash, NS. Ranging in all ages, the house was perfect with the hot tub and pool as well as bedrooms that were comfortable for all. There was a crib for our 10 month old grandson which was excellent. The large kitchen made dining fantastic for us all. There was plenty for us to do nearby. We visited the brewery, the winery and some went to the beaches close by. Halifax was not too far and excellent for those arriving and leaving from the airport. We also spent a day site seeing the city. It was a great experience and Louise was very friendly. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

My family and I stayed at Wallace Coastal Retreat from June 30th - July 2nd, 2018. Upon arrival we noticed quite a few things were safety concerns. First is the front deck - nails sticking out everywhere and no railings on areas of concern where kids were falling. The second is the pool which is an above ground pool with no structure around it and a rickety set of stairs for entrance into the pool. Finally there was garbage around the property such as broken tables etc. which could also be a hazard. The cottage claims to be Non Smoking however it is constantly smoked in and smells extremely strong of smoke. Young children and 80 year old great-grandmother with COPD were severely affected by this the entire weekend. When checking out owner would not walk through property with us and would not give damage deposit back ($500). Claimed there was damage but would not send proof of this. We do this trip every year and have never seen a cottage like this. It should certainly not claim it is family friendly if it is not up to safety standards. We were extremely disappointed and would not want it to happen to anyone else either.
