We reached out to the next recommendation namely pet pawsitive, We started the social assessment he passed no problem, we booked 5 days at 5 hours each day- weekly no reported issues what so ever!! We asked at every pick up..Our dog would come home exhausted and even would last into the next day so 1.5 days to recoup from a 5 hour play date. with no complaints from staff about his behaviour or issues. Not Typical behaviour for our dog! Overnite trial..He went he passed again with no concerns brought forward only this time it took him 2 days to become his normal active self. THIS IS WHERE OUR SUSPICIANS BECAME REALITY!Then we booked another time to keep the routine-the complaint today was he had a hard time settling but there were alot of dogs and maybe he was over stimulated here it comes....suggested to my husband and I to consider dosing him with cbd oil-but further to only purchase from a particular store off of the reserve as they are the only regulated one in eastern Ontario! NOOO!!Now I will tell you I work in the field of addiction mental health and I don't agree with cbd. Further to that I was told there is no thc in this product they were recommending ....absolutely there is! Again this is a Sunday we drove out bought item in panic that he may not be cared for...we arranged another day visit for a quieter day to see how he did... he attended for not even an hour and they called asking about dosing him cbd to help relax.. we disagreed we weren't comfortable.. They suggested dosing morning and night .I picked my dog up again Dec 15 following day he is lethargic and sleeping most of the day...I immediately consulted my pets vet in no way was it recommended to give a dog cbd and our vet offered to prescribe medication to assist with the anxiety ,this facility was not open to this option and was recommending cbd over vet prescribed medication claiming less side effects---but a dog is required to have pharmaceutical flea and tick program prior to attending which they confirm with the vet great on their part!! And those said flea programs are known to cause seizures in some animals... But to dismiss vet recommendation to me is absolutely insane! The information that is being passed onto pet owners is information from the owners holistic vet who doesn't even know your pet...but because she chooses it for her animal she believes its safe for any animal....truly a disaster waiting to unfold.. for unknowledgeable pet owners on the topic of medication and anxiety...The suggestion was to continue to bring him doped up and see how it goes but to have a back up plan in case...with less then 2 weeks away from vacation we walked away from the suggestions...doped up dogs means quiet sleeping dogs and less troubles... DO not use this facility and if your animal has never used CBD do not agree to administer yourself as i firmly believe they use it without pet parents knowing then suggest to get people on board to start giving it as a requirement for continued daycare access...Absolutely Not the place for my animal and I strongly urge people to do research!I cancelled and was charged an administration fee for cancelling because I didnt agree to dope my dog to attend the facility...After spending 620.00 to send my pet over a 6 week period only to find out of the insane stipulation to drug him to attend. That was with the remaining balance of 300.00 or more payable before I dropped off for the vacation....I received a deducted amount back from my deposit of 290.00 but absolutely disgusted that they think charging an admin fee for cancelling in this circumstance is even more frustrating..I do not recommend!! And do your research if your considering taking your pet here or following their suggestions....on medicating your animal ....NATURAL does not mean safe people!!! Would you so easily dope your child if they experienced some separation anxiety when attending school....It is the unresponsible lazy way of masking the issue!!! DO NOT GO HERE. Like Carrie who reviewed a few months ago we had a very similar situation. Doping your dog is strongly pushed. Luckily we found an alternate in the countryside in a much nicer, dog friendly setting with an experienced caring staff. Want real reviews speak to others in the dog parks in the area. I did after the fact. Carrie and I are not alone.There was no follow-up with us. Just pay your invoice!Please don't repsond with a long lengthy reponse as you have with other reviews that don't meet your approval. Instead spend the time with those who have been put in your care.Personally I'd rather not write a review than write a bad one, but considering this is about the safe care of animals I made a exception.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff at Pet Pawsitive! We’re new to the area and we had last minute plans and needed a place to take our dogs and the staff there were extremely helpful and got our dogs in asap! It’s also great as the staff treats the animals there as their own and gives them nothing but love and affection! I Highly recommend them for all your pet daycare and boarding needs!

I have never met such a talented group of individuals who put their heart and soul into work every single day. The level of care they provide is exceptional. I learned so much from these amazing people in the 8 months I spent working here. Leaving wasn’t an easy decision, but unfortunately some personal conflicts came up. I am forever grateful for the family I earned.Not only did I work here, but I also met my furry best friend, Mocha, who I adopted from one of our clients. I never worried leaving him at daycare because I knew he was getting the best care from his favourite aunties. I speak first hand when I say every pup and cat that enters that building is treated like family!I recommend Pet Pawsitive’s Luxury Pet Resort to anyone and everyone I can, because they put in the effort to make sure their environment is safe for every one of your fur babies. Mocha and I miss you guys! We can’t wait to come visit❤️

Words are hard to express how grateful I am that I found this place. Not only do they provide fun, interactive and loving care they are committed to working through any problems. During covid my dog took a long break from daycare. When she returned she was full of anxiety and was struggling. She was stressed and had withdrawn herself. The staff and especially the owner were open and honest about the issue, they made sure I had the information I needed and worked with me and my dog to make change. My pup is back to fully enjoying her daycare days, this was a long road but I am so glad they didn’t give up on me or my pup. It’s so important for dogs to keep their connection with daycare. Long breaks makes the transition back harder. Consistency is key. We are still working on separation anxiety following covid but with the knowledge and tools I gained from working with the staff things have greatly improved. Highly recommend.

The people looking after your pups at pet pawsitive are family to your pups and as family they put the welfare of your canines first. I cannot say enough regarding their dedication and diligence with all our furries. I feel so at ease when Angus is in their care, not only because I know he is safe but also because they maintain high expectations and standards which assist me to maintain a happy social life for my boy. They are the village that can help you raise and maintain a healthy happy well adjusted pup. They understand the intricacies of positive dog behaviour and work with you to provide and maintain a well socialized dog. They make it look easy because they love what they do but I appreciate the dedication each of them bring to the job to help Angus maintain his wonderful disposition. I could not do this alone. The staff at Pet Pawsitive genuinely care for the animals and do everything to ensure everyone’s safety. My Boy loves going there and I feel confident that they provide a safe environment. 100% Recommend :)

Daisy had another great day at daycare. She came home happy and slept like a baby. What an incredible facility. The staff is always willing to assist me as a newcomer and greets us with big smiles and kind words. I feel confident in leaving our pup in such capable and safe hands. Thank you :)
