Talisman has residents who have lived there for 20+ years. The Co-ordinator has been there about the same amount of time, she is professional and well respected. That speaks volumes about the kind place it is to live. It is a community, it is a co-op.It’s very simple, although they offer subsidy it’s not a free place to live. If you don’t pay your rent, or adhere to the bylaws that you agree to at the time of moving in, then the proper protocols will be followed as in any other rental settings.Maintenance is addressed in timely fashion. They have a full time maintenance person who is friendly and efficient.

I've been here 2 years almost. Affordable. My place smells of smoke badly during the late fall and winter months but I'm sure that's a common apartment living issue. Friendly people . updated balconies and lots of trees.

I have lived here for 2 years and find the staff friendly and ready to help when needed. Maintenance requests are processed quickly and to my satisfaction. Looking forward to many more happy years.

Not a good place to live, unless you enjoy being spied on. Manager is unprofessional and unfriendly. Nobody cleans garbage up, and any hoarders live here. Fire Hazard. Moving! Lots of inner gossip between Board and Manager, and slanderous comments. Why would anyone pay rent when a person is hounded daily by a board member and her bestie. They also have 24 hr. surveillance by an old guy with a beard. Lol. Lovely neighbourhood though, if you like a lot of drama.
