The croissants are like bricks... tough to eat, too big, a bit raw inside, not flaky or buttery. Mary Berry would faint if she ever saw these monstrosities. Two of the three girls working at the coffee bar were cold and unfriendly when we asked questions about the coffee. The photo shows just one part of the croissant. Not a great experience overall in friendly Canada.

I don't spend a whole lot of time in Dartmouth, but I may be inclined to visit and stop by here for a mocha and homemade pastry, unique and well made beverages, good job!

Closes at 3pm on Saturdays. Seems strange. The croissants are popular but I'm not sure why. Yes they are huge but they are tough, not buttery and flaky. Bigger isn't always better. But I come for the lattes and they are great!

They have some good coffees! Some of their single-origins are the closest thing to third-wave roasts I've found in Nova Scotia—if you buy it fresh at their roastery. But they stopped printing the roast date on the bags: if you're buying at a grocery store you have no way of knowing whether the coffee was roasted yesterday or 6 months ago. Yes, there are still businesses (etc, ahem) who believe that hiding important information will improve their relationships. 4.5 stars for their best roasts when fresh, two stars off since they believe that they win of we don't know how old their beans are. The message that they would rather trick us into paying a premium price for stale old stock than help us brew the best cup possible is received loud and clear.

Their single origin espresso is phenomenal. The Kenyan is almost too good to be true... viscous pulls with golden hues. I have searched far and wide for an espresso roaster of this calibre. Anchored outshines the rest.

One of my favorite coffee and pastry stops. You feel like part of the neighborhood and community every time you go here.

Extremely busy spot serving wonderful baked goods and coffee. Great community feel with a bustling clientele. Visited three times this weekend! Highly recommend the Prosciutto Croissant!

The coffee is fantastic and worth every penny. I ordered two bags of coffee for pickup - the Two if by Sea blend, and the Figurehead filter blend. Pickup was super simple, and they ensured proper social distancing by placing it in our trunk. I will definitely be ordering again!

Coffee was acidic. Croissant was closer to a sourdough bread than a real croissant; hard as rock, not flakey, not buttery, weirdly long shape. AVOID AT ALL COST!!
