Fuwa Fuwa Japanese Pancakes

We stopped by this Sunday around noon. It was half full but not too packed. Take note, there is a sign that says there is a 15-20 min serve time per order, so they have time to make your pancakes fresh. We shared the Tiramasu Souffle Pancake, and got the Peach Lime Oolong and Mango soda. With a 17% tip it came out to $32. Everything tasted incredible and delicious. The drinks weren't overly sweet and nice and cold and the souffle pancake was super airy and fresh and very flavorful. The staff were very nice and the wait didn't exceed the 20 mins they promised. We noticed some tables had reserved" signs on them

Finally got around to trying Fuwa Fuwa!I've been super excited to try the souffle pancakes since I first heard about them in Japan. We got the original and the strawberry pancakes, as well as the raspberry and blueberry lemonade. Everything was amazing!Two pancakes is more than enough to fill me up, you would think that because they're light you wouldn't be full but that's the complete opposite of what happened honestly, I was stuffed! The pancakes have a light airy texture and an eggy taste from all the egg whites and it paired perfectly with the whipped cream and the maple syrup. The strawberry and cream was also a really great combination.The lemonades were also amazing, I liked the raspberry a little bit more than the blueberry to be honest. But they both had very nice fruit flavors, just found the raspberry a little brighter, taste wise.The pancakes took about 20 mins but that's because they were a fresh batch so I can't complain. Check them out if you have a chance!

So amazing!!! Wanted to come here to try out the fluffy pancakes and they were eggy, fluffy and delicious. I also had a strawberry frappe and it was really creamy and refreshing! Wait is a bit long but worth it for the pancakes, so come here with lots of time in your schedule! They even have free wifi so you can do some work or studying here if you need to. Would go again, so many fun treats that I want to try next time!

Pancakes were just perfect!! So fluffy and soft. I really enjoyed matcha tiramisu pancake. Raspberry lemonade was good as well.Nutella pancakes though didn’t come with Nutella, but some chocolate sauce. Might be disappointing if you expect Nutella :(Interior was very minimalistic and appealing to eye, I would definitely come back!

Light and fluffy pancakes! Fuwa Fuwa is a nice small restaurant in Kensington serving a variety of Japanese Pancakes which are super fluffy and airy! Great for a light meal or dessert if you want to try something new and unique. I recommend the cookies and cream pancake which was delicious. The interior is coloured yellow and is inviting, with multiple tables all around and along the windows. Great service though the pancakes take around 15-30 minutes to prepare. Parking will be street parking along the roads in Kensington so I recommend coming after 6PM or on sundays for free parking! Highly recommended restaurant!

We ordered in some pancakes and they gave us the cream and fruits in separate containers. It’s definitely worth a dine-in as the pancakes look so much better at the store than what we could pull off with mixing them. It’s delicious though.

A pleasant experience I was pretty sure I would not dig this, but turned out really good. Pancakes were fluffy and creamy not cakey at all. Cream was subtle but tasty. Strawberry Rose iced tea was an intense flavor. Almost all tables were reserved which was not cook, and I think Skip and the others slows things down, so at least 15 min wait, but they were upfront about it which was nice. Not exactly inexpensive. Staff were kind and friendly and moving fast so that was great. I would give a 4.7 but as that is not a thing here....5 it is.

Absolutely AMAZING place! Me and my friend ordered couple items from the menu to share and we loved absolutely everything! Burnt cheesecake was creamy, light and not too sweet. Pancakes are a MUST HAVE!!!!! I highly recommend this place!

This charming establishment is located near downtown Calgary. I had high expectations for the Japanese pancakes, and this place definitely exceeded them. Its convenience is a notable aspect. The staff members were friendly and provided me with recommendations on what to try. Choosing from the wide variety of delicious flavors they offer was a difficult decision, but I ultimately settled on their delightful Fuwa Fuwa signature pancake. Although the preparation time for orders is approximately 15 to 20 minutes, I didn't mind at all knowing that they make everything from scratch. The pancake I ordered was not only tasty but also incredibly fluffy, and it didn't take me long to finish it, much to my amusement. I am eagerly looking forward to revisiting this place when I return to Calgary. I do wish I could have shared this fun and fantastic experience with my friends. On my next visit, I plan to return and try more of their enticing flavors!

Nice decor and very clean inside. Food and drinks are good and freshly made. It's very clean inside. My only complaint is the parking can be quite challenging. The staff were great.
