Sonder The O'Connor

Horrible customer service. I'm booked to stay here in three days, and they waited to email their guests until the refund window closed on their flex policy (which you pay extra for!) to tell us that fire alarm testing will be happening during our stay. I've been on hold all day with their terrible phone lines, speaking to 7 different customer service representatives to try to get this resolved and get a refund so that I can stay elsewhere. Municipal fire alarm testing is booked months in advance so the late notification was clearly intentional. Worse, no one you speak to on the phone has the authority to take accountability and actually issue you a refund. I have been passed around 7 different reps, 1 of which has hung up on me, 3 of which have told me they would call me back with a resolution and never did. Do NOT book here.

Stayed at the Laurier street location (can't find a listing for it on Maps tho...) and it exceeded my expectations. Apartment was beautiful and very clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Location is superb. I didn't need help with anything but it was evident staff was very available both in-person at the front desk (until quite late), and through the app. I wish this location had laundry services for longer stays but my stays are typically short and I see the O'Connor location has laundry.

I loved my stay at this hotel! I love the option to not only check in with my phone but unlock the door with my phone too! There is reception as well if you have any questions, or you can even use the chat on the app! They are so friendly! The hotel has an awesome game room and gym! I also like that they have (paid) laundry services but provide the laundry detergent pods! I definitely will be staying here again whenever I come back to Ottawa! Love how central it is! We walked to Rideau Mall, and the Parliament!

What a beautiful apartment to stay in! We absolutely loved our visit to Sonder The O’Connor, particularly due to its spacious layout and beautiful views through huge windows. We booked the top floor and spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony and enjoying the skyline.It’s centrally located in Centretown, just a few blocks from the bustle of Elgin Street or Bank Street. There’s a liquor store (LCBO), pharmacy (Shoppers) and coffee shop (Starbucks) within a 5 minute walk. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Rideau/ Parliament which, in good weather, is really enjoyable.Reception was easily contactable via the app throughout our stay and always very friendly. Amenities are terrific (coffee, tea, nice smelling soaps), and we loved having a full kitchen within our apartment.The bed was okay, but the bedding was very comfortable and cosy. We had no issue with street noise despite there being a consistent flow of traffic however ear plugs were provided in case.I would absolutely stay here again… in fact, I wish I lived here!

I really loved being a guest at this facility. The receptionists (hosts) were so amazing, very ready to help and always wearing a smile which made me feel so comfortable. I initially had a challenge with the website ID verification process which meant, upon arriving, I couldn't make my way in as I wasn't provided with check in details. However, all that frustration was alleviated once the host assisted with the process and made us feel very comfortable. Travelling with two kids under 4 is stressful enough but I got more than I expected at this place.I must also add that the rooms are so luxurious in terms on a serviced apartment. It has literally everything. There was not anything more to ask for. I'll definitely be staying at this place again if anything takes me to Ottawa.

Great option! Feels like boutique hotel at the budget of a Best Western, and equipped like an Airbnb:). Nice finishings, comfy, and great price. Be aware that parking is $20/24hrs, there isn't any ice machine or onsite restaurant/snacks, but there is a kitchenette with a full apartment sized fridge, dishwasher, induction cooktop, and fancy pants microwave...

I stayed in this hotel only for two night and I was very happy with my choice. I had everything and the room and washroom was very clean. I am the type of person who looks behind the toilet bowl to see if it is clean. Well I am pleased to say that everything around the room was spotless. The room had meal prep facilities with all i could need. I used only the coffee maker but everything else was available.

I could not be more satisfied with this hotel. Thanks to the seamless check in and services provided through their amazing app, I did not have any issues accessing my room. The building is clean and smells amazing, my room was more comfortable than I could've ever imagined and somehow had EVERYTHING I needed for a 7 night stay.

Simply perfect.Everything was very clean. We had extra towels, extra pillows, extra everything. The towels smelled soooo fresh.Location was ideal, a walk away from restaurants and bars.Overall, fantastic stay.
