Crankpots Ceramic Studio

Booked a little party for me and a friend two weeks ago for her birthday. When we went today, the staff seemed very confused, and almost irritated with us for being there. We ended up just leaving after looking around a little because we felt like such an inconvenience. I don't think I'd go back.

I love this place so fun! Make sure you bring cash or they can do etrans only. So many nice things to paint, or you can create on your own blank piece such as a plate . Call ahead to make sure they have space and be prepared to pay aprox $60-$100 depending on the item you choose to paint and number of people you bring.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!This place is a joke, the manager is a joke and there way of conducting business is a joke, terrible customer service and no care for the product or customer. also extremely overpriced. 70$+ on a plate and cup that we spent 3 hours on and it came back with half a dozen black paint marks on it, totally trashed, absolutely no care for the customer. There are plenty other pottery painting stores in Edmonton which are 1000000x better. I highly recommend not going to crankpots unless you want to waste money and have an awful experience.

Very very very small space. Because of this you are sitting on low tiny stools for painting your choice of ceramic. Limited leg space as under tables are filled with boxes of stock. No place for purses at all. Great selection of ceramics and helpful staff. A fun time. Just don't go if you have back issues. Prices are similar to any other place.

My children and I are in love with Crankpots Ceramic Studio. The best place for some lovely family bonding and artistic work, too! The staff are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the process! They have such a wide variety of ceramic pots/figurines and paints. They also have attractive daily offers for their customers. We have been there twice and will for sure go there again.

Great environment, good quality pieces, water-soluble paints, friendly staff, even aprons for you to wear! The business is cash and e-transfer only. I have been visiting regularly since I first came.

The place is a big enough to accommodate a big group if booked ahead and also intimate enough for a date or family outing. The process will require about 2-3 hours and your pottery projects will need to be picked up about a week later. Because they need to be put a pottery kiln. The prices very reasonable and vary depending on what you choose to make/paint.

Edit: super disappointed with the last two times I went here. Last time I went with my friends they lost one of our items and did not own up to it nor give my friend a refund. And the time before my mug was not properly glazed so it cracked and can't be safely used now. Such a disappointment since this place usually has the best ceramic options and great prices. Seems to be going downhill.I love coming to this spot. They have the widest selection of ceramics to paint and plenty of colors. You have to make an appointment and it isn't easy to get a hold of them (often no one answers the phone), but I've left messages for appointments and it's worked out fine. They have no studio fee" days and deals like buy one mug and get the second $20 off

Very great set up. Will definitely go again. Lots of selection and would be a great date location. Or kids party.

Based off the poor condition I got my stuff in I sadly have nothing good I can say in my review as after the time and money spent on my projects to get them back with multiples smudges, lots of little specs, and a chip on my cup is more than disappointing to say the least which is why I would not recommended anyone wasting their time or money to complete pottery here!Also find it slightly appalling that the studio took zero owner ship and made absolutely no effort to rectify or compensate me for ruining my projects even after leaving a review on their Facebook page in May of this year! So again would not recommend anyone else waste their time of money at crank-pots!!!!
