Kanata Music Centre

Our daughter has been taking piano lessons at Kanata Music Centre for 5 years. The Music Wonderland course was a very fun introduction to music in the early years. She now enjoys private and group piano lessons. The Yamaha method is truly amazing! The emphasis on singing and listening skills early on really helped to develop strong playing ability. We have seen our daughter’s confidence grow as she progresses through the lessons. She learned a lot even during the pandemic when classes were taught online. The teachers are very encouraging and very professional. The studio is bright and very clean. We highly recommend KMC!

Our family has been with Kanata music centre for 3 years since the music wonderland course. The beginning course really helped my daughter to get interested in music and piano. All of the teachers are nice and professional, especially Mrs. Atsuko. She has lots of patience and some nice tricks to let the kids learn the music knowledges more easily. The year end concert was amazing. I can tell how much my daughter has enjoyed her piano class. We definitely would stay with the KMC family.

My family has been with Kanata Music Centre for more than two years. We were so lucky to have an amazing, inspiring music teacher like Rosaria. She taught my daughter how to be inspired by music and how to convey her emotions with a single word, tune, or note. With her kindness, patience and expertise in music, Rosaria taught my daughter the power of music. Our SK teacher recommended music to us for my son, since she thought he was perhaps gifted. After research we chose the Kanata Music Centre and the rest is history. My son is now finishing his 4th year of group keyboard classes and Glee Club, my daughter joined when she was 5 and is now finishing her 3rd year of group keyboard classes and Voice Lessons and I recently have taken private lessons for guitar and group adult beginner keyboard class. We love all the teachers and the YAMAHA teaching method is just absolutely amazing. If you are looking for music lessons and are between the ages of 3-99 years this music school has something to offer you.

It’s taken some time, but our son has grown to appreciate the art and creates his own pieces at home. Kanata Music Centre (KMC) is wonderful school for music lessons. Atusko and the staff are super friendly. They create a positive and fun environment to learn music. My son, Jacob, started with group piano lessons and then moved on to taking private piano lessons with Rosaria. Rosaria is a talented instructor. She is up-beat and patient. While following the systematic Yamaha music program, she also tailored the lessons based on my son's interests and speed of learning. I would highly recommend the KMC and the Yamaha Music Education system. As a previous Yamaha student myself, I see the benefits of this music program which teaches students to play an instrument, solfege singing and ear training. Having early parental involvement is also a key to their success. I am privileged to have my children attend this school and see them flourish under the direction of talented and amazing teachers and support staff.

I am the guitar teacher of the Kanata Music Centre. The working environment created by the owner and the rest of the staff members is incredible. They are always looking for ways to make you feel welcome in the classroom. The method incorporated is great and it gives kids an opportunity to make friends and at the same time learn music and make music.

Honestly can't say enough good things about KMC! Both of our kids take group piano lessons and they have progressed so quickly and absolutely love the classes. Fun and play is built into the Yamaha system, so the kids never get bored or feel like they're being over-worked. They learn music theory and singing as well so it's a very well-rounded musical education, not *just* piano lessons. The KMC staff are amazing and SO good at engaging with kids of all ages. They tackled COVID head-on and somehow managed to transition all of the KMC magic to a virtual program while still keeping my kids engaged.
