I was down in Surrey last week and was curious to try out some authentic kebabs usually served in Indo-Pak restaurants. I did a quick look up on google and found this restaurant promising. We arrived at the restaurant late afternoon so I wasn't expecting much of traffic within restaurant.The ambience or vibe wasn't really welcoming if asthetics were to be accounted. I won't go deep in to hosting and seating aspect as it wasn't even a thing. So I get it, host / server was same person. No speciality offered or spoken about. Just handed off menu in a dead tone and we were on our own.A few moment later she showed up and our order was taken. We ordered Chapli Kebab, Seekh Kebab and four Naan.The food was delicious, fresh well done meat and more importantly the taste of spices with meat mix was just perfect. Every bite made me think I need to place a second order since 2 pcs of chapli kebab wasn't really fulfilling for a person like me. But just because there were no sides offered along with main dish I was may be I should just fillup my craving and get going.We paid around $40 Cad it came as $30 usd so for that amount I felt it was bang for buck. I wish they had some lentil or soup offered with main course or least small portion of rice will make it very appealing.In my opinion, overall experience was good if not great but food took my heart. I will definitely come back but would highly appreciate if management adds up sides to main dishes.

Wonderful food with fair pricesMy favourite is the chicken tikka. Hot juicy and flavourful in every bite!The Palak Dal and especially the Butter Chicken were delicious with fragrant complex flavours and a perfect match for their flaky pillowy naan!Would definitely come again!

Ordered Chana Masala, Got Chana Dal that is swimming in a pool of oil and extremely dry rotis but also undercooked too. The food tastes like bland oil with no salt even and the Shahi paneer tastes like unsalted bland raw cream. No spices at all, no salt and it doesn't even taste like Indian food, if ur going to serve this to people don't label it indian food. I feel ripped off at this point having this inedible food.

The pictures were taken after we had already eaten half of the food. Overall, the quality of the food at this restaurant was average. However, I experienced an unusually high level of heartburn after eating here, which is not something I typically experience.Here is a breakdown of the dishes we ordered and our assessment of each:Chicken Biryani: The chicken biryani was okay, but unfortunately, the rice wasn't fully cooked. It was disappointing because even my baby couldn't eat it due to the undercooked rice.Beef Haleem: The beef haleem was excessively oily. It tasted predominantly like cooking oil, lacking the desired flavors of masala or meat. This was quite disappointing.Beef Chapli Kabab: The beef chapli kabab, on the other hand, was good. We enjoyed its taste and quality.Garlic Naan: The garlic naan was good, no complaints about it.Mango Chicken: The mango chicken was also good. It had a pleasant flavor and met our expectations.White Rice: Unfortunately, the white rice was not fully cooked and came out hard. This was a letdown as we were expecting properly cooked rice.

I just got the qeema plate for 15$.I opened the plastic container st their reception and told the girl that the quantity is quite less.Then I got a call from the owner that it is the exact quantity that they serve to everyone.I told him that I am not satisfied and I will not go again.

Pakwan House has varieties of Indian and Pakistani dishes. We ordered Lamb Bhuna Gosht Special, Tandoori Fish, Baluchi Chicken. Among the three items, Lamb tasted the best. They really know how to cook red meat, quantity is a little less though.Tandoori fish was juicy but lacked marination and smoky flavour as a tandoori item should have. To my disappointment, Baluchi chicken didn't meet my expectation too, nothing that I would want to try again.Hope it will be a five star experience next time.

Food, service and food again were excellent! Best Pakistani restaurant in Vancouver! Would recommend the chicken jalfrezi, gosht salan and naans were really good. Service was excellent too
