Feeds'n Needs (Shur-Gain)

Love this place. Great people, very helpful as have what you need in stock,if by chances they don't they will order it for you. We buy a lot of pig feed,dog food and dog treats. My pitty loves his beef jerky once a week when we pick up hog feed. Only down side is the cat they allow run through the store,my man is highly allergic to cats like I'm sure others are as well. Makes it difficult for him,he normally waits till no one is in there and goes straight in to buy and pay to get out quickly.

Love feed and needs for my bird feed. Staff are friendly, will carry large bags to your car. Very clean, lots of cool summer things for your deck. Metal flowers etc.

Is there a way to give 0/5 stars cause that would be my rating. I am DONE with Shur Gain. I'd rather drive to Sussex than deal with them again. I am tired of being treated like dirt whenever I go there. The terrible service started from the time I picked up my baby chicks and continues to be terrible and today was the final straw. In the summer of 2016 I received a call stating my chick delivery was delayed and I could pick them up the following day. My family and I came in the following day as SHUR GAIN requested...only to be treated with disrespect by the cashier stating the chicks should have been picked up yesterday. I ignored her because my kids were with me. It wasn't until we returned home to an ignorant message stating the chicks would be sold to someone else. I called and spoke to the lady that was ignorant and she hung up on me!!! Nice service!!! I've given several chances and today was the final straw. That woman needs serious customer service training. Maybe she'd be better suited to work with animals because she certainly shouldn't be working with the public!!!

All feed products were of good quality, no mold, weights good, very little cross mixing.The whole place was well laid out.Very clean.Good selection of seeds, Basic articles for Raising chickens and others.Staff were quick to answer questions with a common sense explanation, several have homestead farms.If they did not know they were very quick to find out.Sales people were Knowledgeable, polite and efficient.Stocking and Loading technicians were polite and accommodating.Speaking for myself, our vehicle or any product has never been damaged due to loading by these people.They will completely load up your vehicle for you and do it the way you want it.They are polite but firm when it comes to customers getting too close to the fork lift while in operation.I feel slightly uncomfortable saying this but to maintain the integrity of the review I must.After many visits, the only negative thing I encountered is one person working there, who should not be dealing with the public.90% of the time, grouchy and impatient, no smile, takes the fun right out of it.I will probably regret this, but, so be it.

Get what you need and not paying extra for fancy decor.

Love this place. As an avid bird lover and nature lover this is the best place to go for all your bird food....small bags or large, feeders of any kind, and anything bird related. The prices are great and staff are awesome

They are always helpful with excellent advice. We have never had an issue here. Parking in the front is good and drive around to the back for larger purchases that they help load in your vehicle.

They have lots of neat things, not just food for your animal friends. I took my mom there, who's from Halifax and she loved browsing all the little trinkets that they had.

I buy feed there to feed the large herd of white tail deer that camp out behind my house in the harshest time of winter. They always have the feed in stock and the staff is friendly. Store is nice and clean. They also allow dogs as long as they are on a leash. My dog loves it because they always give her attention and have treats at the counter.
