This place be better if they had some showers, I'd pay a loonie for few mins of hot water. They could put in a geothermal heat source or some solar as kamloops is good for both...until then, bring your hot shower tools.

Be ready for a walk which is not a bad thing because the space around this lake is untouched by cement. The water is fresh and clean with fish and shell creaturessharing the shores with you.The history of the lake is amazing! The respect those before us have enables visit most pleasant so do plan to pack out your throwaway and leave nothing but your footprints.

I live in Kamloops, but my parents come down from up north to visit me and this is their campsite of choice. I've spent a decent amount of time in the campgrounds and on the lake side. The trails are fun to hike. Not so many bugs in the past 3 years either! Playgrounds for children and plenty of washrooms and garbage cans. Also, the nearby mountain biking trails are amazing!
