Quaker Oaks Farm
I have driven past this place for over 23 years, and this is the first time I have stopped. It is a very interesting stop, quirky and packed with interesting things. Portuguese custard tarts and butter tarts - baked fresh in store - are fantastic! We ordered lattés... One was hit and one tepid? Mixed wrong, but that's not hard to fix. Have to stop here more often!

It was busy when we arrived and the shop is tight so it was crowded. Food was good and they took pride in preparing it. Lots of options for sandwiches. The pastry on the custard tarts was perfectly flakey. Internet was sketchy when we were there so some customers had trouble paying by debit/credit. Suggest having cash just in case.

Cycled for hours looking for a nice cafe and finally found this gem. Great espresso based coffee, quality butter tart, friendly service and a lovely seat under an oak tree to enjoy it all.

Nice farm, perfect stop for a break between traveling to/from Simcoe County/Kawartha Lakes. The butter tarts are delicious. The props and signs are amusing.

Amazing little place with many unique surprises. Best baked goods and preserves you will find. Especially their famous butter tarts. The people there are just awesome. The young woman who served me was really friendly and provided top notch service. Highly recommend you go there!
