The place is falling apart, the service is terrible. The drinks we ordered were always warm. For one funnel cake and two ciders cost me 40$ terrible. I had fun, but I could have had just as much fun at home with my own board games, and I would be 40$ richer. I do not recommend going here. The toilets are not maintained, rusty and covered in fecalmatter. There was even a rusty razor blade shoved into the trim in the stall.Extremely dissatisfied. Won't be returning.

Had a extremely great time here with a few friends. Great selection of games and food. Staff were really helpful in selecting a couple of new games we haven't played before. Overall a great experience time and time again.

I used to love this place. Only downside was that it was $2 per hour and we used to stay there from 6:00pm - 11:00pm. $10 per person, plus all the food / beverages that we would consume, it was never less than $40 ($10 for staying + some drinks + some fries or sandwich, for 2 people, it would be around $80). We decided to go to some other place and bring our own games as this was becoming too expensive (we go with a meetup bi-weekly).However, the other day I noticed that the price changed and now it is $5 (it doesn't matter how many hours). I thought it was great as I never liked the idea about controlling the time when you are in the middle of a game, so we decided to come back last week.Now they also changed the menu to only have funnel cakes and some other sweets (some cookie and milkshakes). No real food anymore, not even fries or some bag of chips.. we asked if we could at least get a Subway sandwich and bring it inside, as they were not offering many options, but they said that it was not allowed...I don't think we will come back unless they change the menu back...

The place, menu and servers are nice but the major downside is that the service is TERRIBLY slow. I was here two nights ago with a group, and while there were only two other occupied tables, it took us over an hour to get our food. Not to mention our drinks. They were however nice enough to fix my sister's drink when they mistook her dairy free order. Only tipped because we were a table of 6+...sad to say I'm not going back even though I would love to support Brampton businesses.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a wide selection of games. Food is good too. My friends and I have sat here for hours playing games. Perfect for dates, outings, fun down time- whatever. Really reccomend this place!

Cool place but poorly run. One of the best servers there had to leave because she was treated without respect. It's a shame too because she was one of the main reasons to go.

Great drinks, awesome food, relaxing atmosphere. The staff are always friendly. This time it was a slow night so our server Alex played Risk with us as we taught her how to play. All in all, great night, and we will definitely be back again.

I wish I could remember the name of the Batista/Server that helped my friend and I that night, but she was very thoughtful and made a great representation of the cafe.Location:House of Cards is in a great location in downtown Brampton, Ontario and you'll drive by it regularly if you're driving along Queen st. W in Brampton (main road, central to many main intersections). It's a short walk from the Downtown Terminal if you're taking public transit, but it's also convenient in distance to several public/city parking. This includes metered street parking, and the garage parking at the Rose Theatre, which is free after 7:30 on evenings (2-5 minute walk, depending on your parking space).It's a close walking distance to other shops and businesses in the area.Function:House of Cards is a unique business idea to Brampton and it works well for what it is. The idea is focused on offering an on-site, rent-a-game concept with unlimited time of use per game, while having the service of food and beverages.You get to playing board games with your friends, getting drinks and food, coupled with the combination of fun and positive treatment from the staff.Service Experience:Service was great for a late Monday night. There's a large variety of games that they offer - which can be overwhelming - but the server was really helpful in giving us her recommendations. We ended up playing Taboo, which worked well for our personalities (my friend and I). The server made sure we were taken care of with our drinks, our game, and our experience. She joined in on our conversation towards the end of the night when we were the only ones left, and she spoke very well of the place.Price:The cover charge was a flat rate of $5 per person - it was a Monday evening in September. Not too sure if the rates change any other time of the week, but the price was definitely fair. The prices on the menu are very fair for the quality and food offered. We both ordered an alcoholic beverage - wildly different, but the servings were appropriate for the price and the drink recipes were really well-thought out.Overall, a five star review because the experience was there for us.

For 2$ per hour there is a decent selection of different board games. The hot drinks are tasty. Amazing marshmallow dip!! We had a great time playing Settlers of Catan, 5 Second Rule, Sequence and Buckuroo. The service was friendly. On Tuesdays you can play all day for 3$.

5 bucks to play a great selection of games for as long as you want. Service is a little slow sometimes, because there's usually only one person working, but they're always friendly, and usually you're involved in whatever game you're playing so you don't notice. Highly recommend the s'mores cake, probably best if you more than 2 people, because it's big and very rich.
