District 28 Events

I have so many wonderful things to say about working with District 28. As a wedding planner, great communication with the venue in particular is always a must, and Josh is always so responsive, so helpful, so thorough, and so friendly that this has made my experiences working with them seamless and stress-free! Everything is very transparent, the options are well laid-out, and I always knew we were well taken care of from the site visit through the end-of-night teardown.The space comes with so many options (how many other venues include wood harvest tables and chair options with their packages?) and has just the right mix of design elements and style combined with a neutral canvas to infuse with personal touches and customize to your own design style. This space is perfect for so many aesthetics from minimal and modern to moody and romantic.The flexibility, openness, friendliness, professionalism, and overall amazing experience that Josh and his team provides are second to none, and I look forward to collaborating with them on many more weddings and celebrations in future!

In July 2020, my wife and I had our wedding at District 28 postponed because of the strict provincial lockdowns. We wanted so badly to make sure the wedding of our dreams could still happen and Josh and his entire team made sure that happened. We waited 2 full years as we wanted to try and have the pandemic as far behind us as possible. Josh was extremely patient with us and answered our hundreds of questions through email and phone calls. We just had the wedding a few days ago and we have received such positive reviews from our guests. The food, the staff, the atmosphere were all top notch. Highly recommend this venue if you're throwing a wedding or an event

Great space for corporate events! They had a private movie space where we watched short films and an open space right outside of the viewing area for us to have some finger food and drinks!

Was here for a wedding. The food was very delayed with over an hour between appetizer and main course. The main course came out with the wrong selection and after informing 3 staff members it was never corrected. Portion sizes were extremely small and not filling at all. Lack of apropriate washroom space made for constant lineups at both washrooms. Do not recommend.For food, the appetizer was pretty good butternut squash, the main course for me was salmon which was probably a 3oz piece with no seasoning, 2 slices of potato and a few slices of carrots. Dessert was supposed to be a fresh seasonal berry crumble drizzle with amaretto caramel" it was positively disgusting. It was a puree of likely frozen fruits topped with uncooked oats with a sauce on top which was neither caramel nor amaretto taste to it.People sitting near me had food allergies and were not taken care of at all. Staff did not understand allergy Anyone with any special dietary needs got the same modifications regardless of need."

At District 28, I have both attended events, as well as coordinated events for this venue, as a planner. This blank canvas space is so beautiful and versatile, and the staff are not only efficient, but also so friendly. I have worked with Diana at D28 multiple times, and she is always so ready to help me with anything I or the couple needs. It was very nice looking on the inside, parking was an issue though. It got really hot in there once it started filling up. The artwork on the inside was beautiful.

We had our wedding at District 28. Beautiful venue. Josh and his whole team were incredible. Highly recommend if you're looking for something stunning and unique.

Attended a wedding recently. The hors d'oeuvres were great!The room where the ceremony took place was cold and had no lights. The salad had no dressing and the food was cold! Cold meat, cold potatoes, cold veggies. Turns out that they have no warming stations!!! Over 100 people ate cold food! At about $200/person I expected much more. However, everyone had a lot of fun. Nice main room setup.

Went to view a coworking space today. Although it wasn't what I am looking for at this point in time, the guy who showed me around seemed like a really cool person and made me feel at ease. If I ever opt for private office, will probably get it here.

We chose District28 to be our wedding venue and it was the best decision we ever made. All it took for me to say “this is the spot” was a look at their Instagram. Best staff, amazing food and unique atmosphere.Josh was amazing and always on the ball. He made this whole experience super enjoyable and easy. 11/10 would recommend ❤️.Bri + Cody!
