Layers Cupcakes

Layer's is outstanding. Their cupcakes walk the line beautifully of being decadent but not wildly sweet. You can tell quality ingredients are used as well. Worth every penny & highly recommend, they're always a hit when we have them at events (and are now our go-to instead of a full cake).My favourite has always been the coconut one! Its never disappointed.

Thank you to hubby for the gesture of buying my birthday cake from Layers. However, it was awful. The tiny bit of cake that was actually there was the consistency of a cracker, dry and crumbly. We did try the cupcakes about a year ago and ruled out ever going back but hubby caved into the hype again. Never again.

Layers is the absolute best! My whole family loves their cupcakes and their cakes are perfect for special occasions and family get togethers, they are always a hit. We love how fresh everything is and all the unique and delicious flavours they have. The layers team cares so much about their products, it really shows. We are lucky to have such a great local business. We can’t wait to try their new cookies!

Had a Layers cupcake the other day and it was life-changing. The best thing I've had in my mouth ever. 1,000 times better than any other cup cake I have ever had. Their staff and service were second only to quality of product. I highly recommend.

Great look and smell but quality control needs improvement (or may be recipe?). I’ve learnt few years ago not to buy their cupcakes with light colored icing as it was crunchy from undissolved powdered sugar. I started to buying only the ones with chocolate icing, they always had smooth texture because I guess it needs longer mixing time..? This year for my daughter’s birthday I had to buy 18 cupcakes of all kinds. I was hoping that may be some icing won’t squeak and crunch but no luck :( Lemon, coconut,, vanilla, strawberry, you name it - all but chocolate icing - were too gritty and crunchy for professional bakery. Anyone who ever bothered to make their own buttercream knows that it’s not a rocket science to fix the sugar crunch - it just require more time to mix. I think they pressed on time trying to churn cupcakes out and why bother - they will be sold with undissolved sugar anyway ;)

I’ve only ever ordered cakes from Layers, but they are delicious. The cake is rich and sweet, topped with beautiful buttercream frosting that will satisfy any sweet tooth in a matter of seconds. My only criticisms would be the rigidity of the cake designs, not permitting you to add customized writing for a loved one’s birthday, and the richness of the buttercream icing that can be slightly overwhelming if consumed in large slices of cake.

I live too close for comfort. I pop in here frequently for that sweet tooth craving. The air smells of sweetness to match the staffs attitudes. This place is fabulous. I recommend any cupcake lover to just eat one. My favorite are any vanilla base cupcake the offer. The vanilla bean frosting with the sea salted caramel fill is my go to. Must try.
